September 9, 200323 yr Mike Redmond has been historically a super hitter against Tom Glavine. Glavine starts tonight. Pudge went 0-5 last night. Who should we start?
September 9, 200323 yr Redmond glavines pitching, automatically IMO redmond should be put in the lineup.
September 9, 200323 yr Author Plus Pudge was horrific yesterday. But what about Castro? Will his criminal a** ever get off the bench?
September 9, 200323 yr Glavine knows Redmond's average against him. There has to be an annoying intimidation there for him. Go with the stats. Go with the annoyance. Go with Redmond. But. for God's Sake don't bat him third!
September 9, 200323 yr I think redmond will. He is very good against lefties, specially Glavine. Redmond is going to have some fun today if he starts. Pudge struck out 4 times and grounded out his last AB. So it'll be rare if he starts today.

September 9, 200323 yr Author Pudge is batting 300 versus Glavine, but he is batting 300 against every one else too. That doesn't mean he doesn't go in slumps. I can't even remember the last time he hit a ball out of the ballpark.

September 9, 200323 yr he isnt a HR hitter very true , Pudge is a single / double hitter who can put up 15-24 HR a season with 100+ RBI and 40+ doubles with .305+ avg , and not to say awesome behind the plate
September 9, 200323 yr Over the last two years, Redmond is 3-11 against Glavine. All 3 hits are singles. The magic may be wearing off. That being said, I'd still start Redmond. Pudge will probably need either tonight or tomorrow off anyway (day game after a night game) so you might as well do it today.
September 9, 200323 yr Author I know Pudge isn't a home run hitter, but he only has two since the All Star break. Juan Pierre almost has more than that. Start Redmond. Pudge needs a rest, and Mike can hit against Glavine.
September 9, 200323 yr I believe we've faced Glavine about 2 or 3 times this year, and I think I-Rod has started those. That's not a good sign for Redmond starting.
September 9, 200323 yr Author Pudge needs a rest, and Redmond is hitting .500 against Glavine, but Pudge is slumping. I say put Redmond in to start the game. Then put Pudge in like in the 7th or 8th innings. But then again I am not J-Mac!
September 9, 200323 yr Author Good! Glavine has struggled this year, and Pavano (and every other Marlins' pitcher) has been awesome as of late. We will get a win tonight. Atlanta is on TBS at 7:35!
