We'll see what Vargas is made of tonight. Hopefully it equals more than what's in the big gray can in my backyard.

I am unimpressed with Reed. However, I would rather let Reed play consistently for a few weeks to see if he is up to the major league challenge, rather than let him play twice a week, Abercrombie twice a week, Aguila twice a week, etc. At the end of the month, I doubt we'll have a consensus on whether any of these guys are worthy of starting for the remainder of the year. I say pick a guy and go with it. I trust the FO to choose wisely.

Well Jacobs was only hitting 5th because of the lefty matchups.

i'd like to see abercrombie play everyday, aguila ride the pine, and reed have the pinch-run duties.
