April 14, 200620 yr In case you guys/gals are wondering this Tuesday will be decision day if they will approve movement of the UDB. As we all know this could possibly effect the Hialeah Heights location.

April 14, 200620 yr County Nothing like a trial by fire. If the County moves it, then we have a possible legal battle by the State.
April 14, 200620 yr I pulled up some UDB stuff for that meeting...very interesting http://capefish.blogspot.com/2006/04/udb-v...ights-site.html

Hey, on a side note, thanks for the input, youve been keeping the racetrack topic alive!
April 17, 200620 yr That really depends if you are talking about the fans in west broward or east. For those in the east they can easily aboard the tri-rail and forget about driving (except to the train station) where distance would not be an issue in getting to the game since the driving is done by transit. No traffic backups or delays.

Loria do his part keep them here or do he ready have plan to move to texas :mischief2 If they don't pass the resolution to move the UDB line for Application #5, then the Hialeah Heights site is possibly dead. The Hialeah Mayor can push for the racetrack site, which he has been working on alongside HH. The County Mayor is not really a part of any of this. The County Manager is the one driving this at the County level. The Marlins have no plan for the future other than moving out of Dolphin Stadium and into another facility. That is all we know.
April 17, 200620 yr think hialeah to ft lauderdale on the turnpike maybe 30 min. I got a response form moss, sorenson and guillermo. I take it hialeah would be giving up free land on the site thats about it not to sure what the city can provide. Hialeah is one of the biggest cities in the state population wise. One good thing is that if Alvarez seems to want them to stay and has the county manager on board as for Commisoners let light a candle tonite. I know one vote seems secure Diaz saw him on opening day with his family and he covers Hialeah
