April 16, 200620 yr I ate Easter Dinner and that loss is sinking in. I am not as as shocked as before.
April 16, 200620 yr this was the toughest lost so far this season! I've been 'cool' with all the other loses this season...but we had this one...we came back from a 4-3 Nats leads, and scored 2! That was awesome! That's the reason this loss was so difficult to swallow, cause we had it! Good effort by everyone! The play where Hanley threw the ball away...was 'exciting' to say the least... When the ball was hit right to him, and Soriano was holding at 3rd, I was almost jumping up and down...when the ball was thrown away, I was burying myself! :mischief lmao...I dont feel so bad anymore...This team has a lot of potential! I'm still standing by them 150%!!! :cool
April 16, 200620 yr oh yea, you guys there in So Fla couldn't watch the game huh?! lol...well, I had to watch the Nationals broadcast :plain those f*ckers are gay :plain lmao

April 16, 200620 yr some of marlins player need to be drill more because their did too many bad play during this home stand i was hoping to see more win at home
April 16, 200620 yr Before I go back and finish the rest of this thread, here are my comments from Section 127 Row 1:Carlos Martinez continues to be amazing. I shall now call him El Bombero. Nice to see the top of the lineup continue to produce. Shadez only picked up one hit but managed to score the time he reached base (11 runs scored on 20 times reaching base, that's nice stuff right there). Cabs and Hammer (who missed out on an early RBI thanks to Amezaga's mistake) continue to rake while Jacobs got back on track with two singles and an RBI today. Olivo was putting good wood on the ball all day.....and Reggie wasn't far behind. Olivo's jack was absolutely crushed as was his double. Reggie hit three different balls that were inches away from being hits.....he might do well with a week in hitter's parks. Chris Aguila needs to badly work on his throws, including his release point. One throw was way too late, one throw that was supposed to go to home went to the left of first base, and another throw from LF headed for second bounced straight into the ground halfway there like a touchdown spike. Abercrombie's range is very impressive. Not only does El Bombero have nasty stuff, but he also talks sh*t to opposing hitters after strikeouts. What's not to like? Sergio Mitre pitched very well save one pitch. The long ball was his downfall once more. Ricky Nolasco got very, very, very lucky. Daryle Ward came half a foot from jacking that pitch, and someone had their glove over Aguila's when he was pressed up on the wall to make the catch. I'm still not sure how it ended up falling in Chris' glove. Girardi's managerial moves so far have me a bit perplexed. First off, not only did he go to the old guy again for a save chance, but he went to a different and equally garbage old guy. I mean, come on! Gimme a kid with good stuff! And if you're not going to have a set closer anyways, why not have someone warming in case the guy you bring in doesn't have control (as was the case today, aided by a squeezing from the man in blue)? Same inning, why is it necessary to have Reed in CF, Aguila in LF, and Abercrombie in RF? Especially when you've already used your entire bench save Matt Treanor and if for some reason the Nats tie the game or take the lead on the garbage old geezer that was given the ball, due up third is one of the best bats in the lineup whom previously resided in LF? At least give your best bats a chance in the ninth. Shadez throw was way over Jacobs' head. When he stared down Soriano it appeared as if he never fully turned his head when he was making the throw to first. Olivo made a hell of a play on a bad Herges pitch to nail Nick Johnson. Barehanded grab of the ball in the air, then completed the throwing motion with a bullet to nail him. Someone needs to be given the closer job for good, and it better not be either Borowski or Herges. If this doesn't happen soon we're going to lose a lot of games like we did today, because Hanley's error never happens if there isn't a smoked leadoff double. *goes back to reading thread*

April 16, 200620 yr I ate Easter Dinner and that loss is sinking in. I am not as as shocked as before. yea i ate about 20 min. after the game, so i can say that i feel the same
April 16, 200620 yr Have you ever played baseball on an organized team? Yea i have. If you knew your team wasnt going to win or go to the playoffs you would put your best effort out, no one would. Truth is its not about having fun its about winning and if you cant win then you might as well not play. Thats how i see It. Get a life, fairweather fan. Where im from on the internet universe Jk is used to state a joke

Where im from on the internet universe Jk is used to state a joke Believe me. They don't care if we are the best team or the worst team. Half of the guys on our team should be in the minors and I bet they are thankful that they have a chance to play in the majors. Just say Miggy never tried. What would happen to his career #'s? They would go down. These guys are proving they belong in the majors. This is just like people telling their kids they can't do this they can't do that. You never know what you can achieve unless you try hard.
April 16, 200620 yr Shadez definitely cares about his error. He had his head down the rest of the inning, he was visibly shaken. To say he or anyone else doesn't care because they're in for a rough season shows a lack of a competitive drive, something none of these guys have. Btw, something I forgot to add. Miguel is emerging as quite the leader on this club. When Mitre was still in the game but was losing control, the pitching coach went out to talk to him. But the only reason he did was because Miguel, with Hanley following closely behind, stopped play and went to have a discussion with Sergio. Later on in the game when la bronca se formo between Martinez and Marlon Anderson, Miguel (again followed quickly by Shadez) was among the first to get between his pitcher and Anderson, and him and Hanley both stayed around the mound area until both benches and bullpens were back where they belonged.
