This is just like people telling their kids they can't do this they can't do that. You never know what you can achieve unless you try hard.

i guess your right beacuse if we would have believed what the media said about us in 03' we would have never won the W.S. I mean we werent suppose to beat the Giants, and it was supposed to be the cubs year. OH and then we cant beat the yanks but we did. I guess we should just stick it out anything can happend

i saw hanley after the game and when he walked by me he had his head down...i told him good luck in cincy and he just grunted.. :plain

Oh geez. Where did you see him?

Oh you should have told him I said Hello. Every time he saw me at the ST game is smiled and gave me a nod. Thats what you get for going to 10 games and hanging around the pen.

I dont care what anyone says but I was at todays game and it is one of the best ive seen since 03'.. These boys fought hard today! Cabby showed leardership with the "fight" incidence..

Hanley tough break, the kids will go through that this year. The only thing in the whole entire game that mind boggles me is that we have NOT 1 lefty in the bullpen!!!!

anyways, GO FISH!! "True Fans NEVER EVER EVER Die"

:)

Thanks.

Um.. How bad was Hanley's throw? :gulp:

HanRam's throw was way off, Jacobs had no shot. He was a bit nervoues, you can tell... With the infield in he played the ball on a short hop real well... took a look at Soriano about 3 times, Alfonso was screwing with his head... HanRam threw it and it just sailed on him..

This event will show if hes a good player or not... This play could hurt him for a long time, on the field, at bat, but if hes a true ball player he'll forget about it tomomorrow and go 4-4

people RELAX! This is what, the 12th game of the year and we are committing costly errors? WOW! What-a-suprise considering that 7/8th's of this lineup were playing in small town AA or AAA ball last year. This team is "killing you"? What do you expect the 2nd week of the season. In the majors the game is played a lot faster and there is obviously, as you all know, a lot more pressure day in and day out. Get used to seeing games come down to an error for the next month or 2.

Give these kids some time to adjust and get their legs under them and the errors will undoubtedly go down and they will be playing some really good fundamental baseball by June. They have shown they can hang in there w/ teams. They just need to learn how to deal w/ the late inning pressure when you're facing a verteran closer and 2Bmen who can jump 80 feet in the air. And that will all come with time.

PS: Remember that horrible throw Gonzo made last year to get the runner at home against the Nats? And a lot of you touted him as an All-Star. I'll take a rookie making a bad throw over Gonzo making a bad throw any day of the week.

I should say so. He wouldn't be a real ballplayer then, would he?

No you dont cut him, but im saying if he goes 0-10 I wouldnt be surprised! That was a game changing error! IF he comes back and plays like he plays hard he'll be alright

Expect more of the same until these guys settle in.

We could just as easily be 7-4 instead of 3-8 if not for all the baserunning and untimely fielding blunders.

Like when he made those 2 errors and he came back the next day 4-5. :thumbup

Shadez definitely cares about his error. He had his head down the rest of the inning, he was visibly shaken. To say he or anyone else doesn't care because they're in for a rough season shows a lack of a competitive drive, something none of these guys have.

Btw, something I forgot to add. Miguel is emerging as quite the leader on this club. When Mitre was still in the game but was losing control, the pitching coach went out to talk to him. But the only reason he did was because Miguel, with Hanley following closely behind, stopped play and went to have a discussion with Sergio. Later on in the game when la bronca se formo between Martinez and Marlon Anderson, Miguel (again followed quickly by Shadez) was among the first to get between his pitcher and Anderson, and him and Hanley both stayed around the mound area until both benches and bullpens were back where they belonged.

He's showing a lot of leadership. Definitely good to see. It also seems as if Hanley and Miggy are becoming very good friends.

EXACTLY!! HanRam will be picked up by his 'mates... This was a tough loss for the kids... They will reboud

Imagine if he went 4-5 tomorrow in a HITTERS park :shifty . Think about it :plaindance

[*]Not only does El Bombero have nasty stuff, but he also talks sh*t to opposing hitters after strikeouts. What's not to like?

wasn't that against the Angels?! :mischief2

Yes. Now that was bad.

won't be the first or the last time this happens.

I'm hoping for 60 wins, but we may see 50 :(

I think April and May would be very ugly, and they will play better later on. I'm hoping the youth factor would help as well later on, when some of the vets on the other team start to get tired

Dude, uncool.

Though I doubt that Hanley would be saving a smile and a nod for the sausage factory that is the rest of the board!

Says the guy with a nickname for a penis in his handle.

I really like the way all the guys have stood up for Hanley. In all the post-game interview, not a one singled him out.

lol... there is the chance that is his last name

This is why teams lose 90+ games. This team could easily be at .500. Two nut crushing defeats in a row.

Well said. I cant imagine this continuing much longer. I'd rather they lose games by 4-5 runs than lose the way they have been losing.

Lets either really really suck or win a few of these close games.
