BIG Z
I think that alex should be sent to the minors or released next season because we need a productive shortstop anybody know a shortstop that can hit that is a freeagent next season? BIG Z
Is renteria a free-agent?
FutureGM
I've never liked Gonzalez much...but it's disturbing how his season started off well, and then got flushed down the toilet.
Mave
Well, I think everyone needs to accept the fact that Gonzalez is not a stud hitter, he will always hit .250ish, have some pop, and play some exceptional defense. I like Gonzalez, and I hope he can stay, he has good pop for a #8 hitter.

SlapHands69
Wow I come on and Willis already has 2 pretty stupid posts and I thought Blues clues was stupid.

miami15
Alex has near-gold glove SS, and is gonna drive in 80 RBI with 17 home runs? What is wrong with that?
rferry
Miguel Tejada is a free agent, but will most likely sign with the O's.
Mave
Alex has near-gold glove SS, and is gonna drive in 80 RBI with 17 home runs? What is wrong with that? Nothing, Willis#1 is craaazay.
Nielsosky
Amazing. So we are going to release a gold glove caliber SS to try to sign an expensive SS like Renteria? If we spend our money on a position where we already have a great defensive player who is young and (disagree if you want to) talented. What if we spend all our money there and end up with crappy relievers, 2nd and 1st baseman? If that happens, I smell...'98 reborn. No! :banghead
Nielsosky
Ok...Why aren't the A's gonna re-sign Tejada? And we have more money than them? A-Rod? Yeeeeessss...riiiiight...
geemoney
I think that alex should be sent to the minors or released next season because we need a productive shortstop anybody know a shortstop that can hit that is a freeagent next season? With his defense, anything he does in the hitting category is icing on the cake. All he needs to do is hit .250, and he'll have a job. AJBurnett34
Hell no on Releasing A.Gon....this guy is cheap and young. He is just a Short Stop and he has 17 homeruns and not much errors. I know he is hitting very low but so is Lee and Cabs. Why blame it just on Alex. He also has alot of RBI's, i believe close to 70 or more. Nielsosky
I've got an even better idea! Let's sign A-Rod, than Tejada as a backup, Renteria as another backup. Oh, I forgot to mention, let's trade Armando Almanza for Barry Bonds.

Fish Fillet
The key in accepting Sea Bass is to realize that he will never, ever live up to the hype that surrounded (and still surrounds) him. He is a career .250 hitter with co-ed power and a great glove.  The question is can the Marlins afford to carry his subpar offensive ability in order to keep his defense, especially with a light-hitting offense around him? Das Texan
what do you people want?  an all star at every damn position?  gonzalez is your damn #8 hitter. he has a damn good glove. What do you people want?
