What I Want In A Ballpark

Featured Replies

True.

Existence would be my first request too.

These would be gravy:

Old-school (retro if u want to call it that) retractable roof stadium.

An area where fans can buy a ticket for under $3 a la Turner Field or Petco.

Keep the capacity low (I know it sucks for playoffs but...) Keep it around 35,000.

1. i'd don't want the park to be like RFK stadium..it'd be boring. our strength is pitching though so i guess we should go with more of a pitchers park. but i wanna be able to see cabs and the other marlins put up good numbers. so i'd go with a neutral park

2. whatever is the normal size is fine

3. NO rotating seats. that'd be dumb. i want this park to be built for baseball and not for the other events it may hold.

4. i'd like bullpens like the ones the braves have . tucked away under the stands with just a bit visible.

5. yes

6. what's this?..anyway i'd love to have one of the long thin screens on the facade of the upperdeck-like what the white sox have-it would just say "Paul Konerko #14" . it looks really cool

7. whatever.

8. "But leave them open at nights. People should be able to see the stars during those warm S. Florida nights." as long as it's not to hot/humid/sticky

9. how boring of a park do you want?

10. " But since it's S. Florida there should more salsa and merengue played." NO .. Just no "Enter The Sandman" puh-leeeeze!" metallica's awesome

12. An area designated to commemorate the two championships won so far. It should be accessible to most people attending.

Open-air walkways so you can see the field when getting refreshments.

A family area for the kids to play.

Restaurants that face the field.

Pitch counts and detailed player stats on electronic scoreboards.

No more Micasukkee airboat races. :thumbdown

YES! Open air walkways!! Turner Field has them and its sweet!

Beer under 5-6 bucks a bottle

food that tastes good

Enjoyable times and good seating views

ability to play rain or shine

An Hour and a half or less drive from home would be nice too

No infield dirt durring football season.

That is what I am looking for. Not too much I hope. As for what it looks like I dont care if they painted it all Sh$$ brown and put up UPS stickers all over.

It would be a park for the Fish and I would be happy for them.
