Man, these one-run and two-run losses make me angry...

at Loria. I know...we're all angry. And, many of us are angry at the inept play of some of our "MLB caliber" players, such as Reed, Abercrombie, etc. However, I direct my anger at Loria. While I don't blame him for deciding to stop losing money, I don't think I will ever be able to forgive him as a fan for sinking merely $15 Million into this year's squad. It is not as if he is merely "breaking even" this year. All reports seem to suggest that, due to revenue sharing, TV and radio money, and merchandising revenue, he is PROFITING between $15 Million to $30 Million before ANY gate receipts are even counted.

It is outrageous to think that he is making money this kind of money this year, while true fans who actually care about the Marlins have to endure this kind of pain. Just think of what Beinfest could do with an extra $5 to $7 Million dollars to spend on payroll. Loria would still be making money, and we might have been able to field a team that would have been exponentially better.

Even if we get a stadium...or increase payroll...I don't think I'll ever be able to forgive Loria for this. Loria has not suggested that he will use these "profits" to overcome any funding gap to build a stadium. He is simply filling his pockets, and is he doing it at the expense of the TRUE Marlins fans. I do not critize him for wanting to stop losing money, but this is overkill.

My rant is over....for now.

Well im not mad at him Im mad at the state of Florida for not getting a stadium deal when we won that first world series that would have prevent us from haveing a second firesale in the first place

it's the same story everyday, hitter strickout easily when we need one run to tie or two run to win, even "veteran" Helmes chase a "BAD BAD BAD" pitch for K today,go back to the bench ! ! ! :mad :mad :mad

If you're right about that, you have every right to be angry.

I'm not mad at Loria and I honestly don't blame him for not wanting to lose any more money. This team needs a stadium and has needed one for years. It's ridiculous that a team that has won 2 WS titles in such short time STILL doesn't have their own stadium.

Man your going to be angry for the next two seasons, at least. As for whether these are MLB calibur players it remains to be seen, this may be the only or the last seasons some of these guys will play in the bigs.

you are an idiot :thumbup

The last month of last season was 10 times worse than this month has been. In fact, it's not even close.

And, to be honest, these close losses suck now, but they show the talent level is there. Growing pains are natural, these close losses will be close wins in due time.

I just have a hard time getting that worked up because by the time last year ended I hated most of the team anyway. Quitters.

I agree with you, but I didn't blame Loria. I blamed the players. NOW, I blame Loria. That was the point of my post. You can't fault the players when they are trying as hard as they are.

I blame Huizenga.

And that's not some kind of sarcastic witty response, I do.

It's true. And I'm also very angry.

Sad to say, but I'm getting used to the losing.

I predicted 61 wins, but I don't know if this team can win more than 55.
