September 21, 200322 yr Author It's Mckeons fault.Am I the only one that noticed that all his pitches were outside on the left? His confidence is on the ground. A playoff caliber closer needs to be cold bloded. Couldn't throw strikes, and falled behind the count on almost every at bat!

September 21, 200322 yr 2 bad outings against 1 team in 1 week. He is definitely not getting better as we near the playoffs. Obviously he is getting tired. Maybe we really should have Uggy close in the playoffs. Even if he did have a bad outing, he is doing better than Loop.
September 21, 200322 yr Looper doesn't suck...the manager, the old fart, McKean sucks. This guy has lucked out all year with the way he uses his pitchers but his luck started to run out last weekend. That's when the Marlins' lost going to the playoffs. They may still pll it off...the Phillies lost, thank goodness.

He needs to mix in his pitches. Oh wait his only pitch he HAS that he can throw for a strike is his fastball. His Slider and Split suck and he doesnt have control with it. Urbina needs to close if we want to contend up to October

September 21, 200322 yr Looper can not be the closer any more if we are gonna be serious about the postseason. I like the guy but hes just not getting the job done. Urbina as everyone has said brings an entire different attitude one of a true closer. I really hope McKeon will make Uggy the man.

September 21, 200322 yr How many bad outings has he given us? Also he gives up the runs in not SO Important situations and Loop does.
September 21, 200322 yr because Uggy was lights out tonight He's more consistent then Looper. Before tonight,Urbina had only given up 1 run on the road,he has been lights-out.
September 21, 200322 yr Stay with Looper as closer. He's done it for us all the way, he's our man -- for better or for worse.
