May 26, 200620 yr Marlins transferred RHP Sergio Mitre from the 15-day to the 60-day disabled list. At last check, Mitre, who has been out since May 12 with shoulder tendinitis, was about ready to resume throwing, suggesting a mid-June return was possible. Now he'll be sidelined until the All-Star beeak. May. 26 - 6:54 pm et
May 27, 200620 yr I still think Mitre can be useful in the future. He has great movement on his fastball and a nice sinker, if only he can eliminate that one bad inning. I'd love to see him as our 5th starter on this team in 2008 AKA the World Series year. 1. Willis 2. Nolasco 3. Johnson 4. Olsen 5. Mitre With a bullpen of Anibel, K-Mart , Tank,Vargas, Kensing and...others. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I love the pitching we have. :drool We are so freakin' loaded.

May 27, 200620 yr hmm, that's disappointing, but the only guy struggling right now is Olsen anyway, so at least he can get more work in....
May 27, 200620 yr Why on earth would you want Mitre past this year when we have tons of pitching prospects with infinately more talent?
