Most major european soccer matches are already on TV in America, if you have the DirecTV sports package then you should receive the Fox Soccer Channel... I love watching live matches at 3am.

I think between Fox Soccer Channel and GolTV, all the major soccer rights in the US are sold. Telefutura (Starting in 2007) and ABC/ESPN carry the MLS now in order to get the World Cup.

Having the right to show the matches is one thing but I would really like them to show highlights on sportscenter or at least final scores. Maybe even a weekly show showing highlights of european soccer.

I think ESPN International just won a big contract for those....ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes are the home to those broadcasts in the US...I wish ESPN2 had more or that Dish put ESPN Deportes in my service pack. Rae and Smyth are good on those games...but won't be used together during this year's World Cup...I like that move because this is for-US vs. for-World broadcasts.
