No, nothing about chemistry. Just one of those arguements you have with your friend.

Renteria because he is my favorite marlin of all time, and probably the best short stop beside ARod and Nomar in the Major Leagues.

Gonzalez, Luis, Lee. For sure...you cant make any double play look easier than Gonzalez does.

Renteria,he is just as equal to Alex if not better defensivley....And also because I have a special attachment to Renteria.

Seeing that the title of this thread says, "doubleplay trio" I will assume that offense is not to factor in on the decision.

 

I would take either one.

to me there's no doubt that gonzalez is the better defensive shorstop. renteria does not have the range gonzalez does. there's no doubt that edgar is the better all-around player, but gonzalez is better defensively.
