There doesnt seem to be too much information on him. he's basically got #2ish stuff, but people are worried about his slight frame and build...this leads some to believe he projects as an elite setup man or good closer. of course as long as he's succeeding as a starter there's no reason to change him.

June 27, 200620 yr Chances aren't good for him cracking the rotation anytime soon, but the idea of him as a bullpen guy intrigues me greatly. If the guys who have been our strong setupmen so far, Kensing and Messenger, start to slow down in the stretch run, we may need some sparks to keep things up.

Looks like he's another older player who could fool the high schoolers in the sally league, but not more advanced players. ooops. this was his 4th start.

July 7, 200620 yr Hmmm...might we see him in the pen soon - ala K-Mart??? :mischief2 He went 4 IP, 5 H, 5 ER, 4 BB, 5 K's, so I don't think he's quite ready even if the strikeouts are still encouraging and if Ross Wolf didn't exactly help him out by allowing two inherited runners to score. He's still pretty young, too, so there's really no need to rush him. The walks could be attributed to alot of things (jitters about being in AAA and in a hitter's league, etc), though, as they are out of character for him.

No he just flew in today and got the field at 5:00....long flight for some reason....may throw tonight...AAA is hurting for pitchers right now...seems every starter is up and some of the relievers are on the DL....Garcia did a good job tonight...very young but a great experience for him to be up there.....held his own nicely....Wolf is usually pretty tough but when he gets the ball up he gets hit hard...not alot of heat...but alot of junk....
