July 4, 200620 yr As he shut out the Red Sox tonight... 9 IP 2 H 0 ER 2 BB 10 SO 120 pitches, 84 strikes. One of the most dominating performances I've seen in a while. Seemed like nearly every hitter was in an 0-2 count and he only gave up one legitimate hit as the first was an execuse me single. Would have thrown even less pitches had it not been for 2 errors by his defense. Game was right around 2 hours and 30 minutes. Filthy.
July 4, 200620 yr Good for him. He's throws hard. Big feather in his hat. Shutting that lineup out ain't easy.
July 4, 200620 yr Author FYI, he had a game score of 91 for the game. By that, best pitched game of the season in all of the majors.

July 4, 200620 yr Author I thought we had him figured out after we got 5 ER off of him in Fenway but in the Trop we have little to no chance against him.

July 4, 200620 yr Author Not the park, just him being at home. The Rays always seem to play better against the Sox and Yankees then they do say against the Orioles and that combined with the general high of pitching at home makes him beastly.

July 4, 200620 yr I bet the Mets feel stupid now for letting him go. I think they've been feeling stupid for a while now
July 4, 200620 yr I bet the Mets feel stupid now for letting him go. Mets fans hated this trade the second it came up. It's not a "just now" sort of thing. This deal was universally maligned from the start. *Waits for someone to say Steve Phillips made the deal*
