July 8, 200620 yr Doubleheader Game One: Marlins: Josh Johnson VS. Mets: John Maine Doubleheader Game Two: Marlins: Ricky Nolasco VS. Mets: Mike Pelfrey (First Career MLB Start)
July 8, 200620 yr Author Both games are very winnable. It all depends on how our offense does. Agreed. We sure beat up on Lima tonight. Hopefully we can do the same against these two guys.
July 8, 200620 yr nice touch lol, both games are gona be very good to watch and it even bigger games on the Marlins side.
July 8, 200620 yr Don't discuss or even think about a sweep of a doubleheader, no matter where, when, or whom.....until you've made the last out and won the first game. Then you can think about it.
July 8, 200620 yr We can talk about the first game. I believe that JJ is penciled in for game 1. That would give us a big pitching advantage with JJ against either Pelfrey or Mayne. It would be nice to see JJ go in the first game and go at least 6 innings. Game 1 is on FOX tomorrow.
July 8, 200620 yr I'm going to game one, so I'm hoping to see JJ vs. Maine instead of Nolasco vs. Maine. Either way, I'm excited -- especially after tonight's game. Although I did kind of want to see Pelfrey, because they talk about him here all the time and compare him to Phil Hughes (who is 2 years young and has better breaking pitches, but I'll admit to bias).

It's a one admission doubleheader, or so it looks like by the start times of the games. Why not hit up both?
July 8, 200620 yr Maine has been horrible so far this season. We should be able to get at least one of these.
July 8, 200620 yr Author nice cards...how'd u get nolasco, he's one of the few i don't have yet.. I got him sometime last year when he was in the minors with the Cubs.
