August 23, 200620 yr I heard about these two girls, dubbed something along the lines of the neo nazi olsen twins, a year or so ago. They play folk music that racially targets minorities. Their mother is a devout neo nazi, as is their grandfather(he brands his cattle with a swastica). Their favorite videogame is a game called something like ethnic clensing where they run around doom style and shot hispanics and african americans. They idolize rudolph hess and adolph hitler, going as far to say the holocaust was exaggerated and that hitler had good idea(made me sick when I heard these two things). But it got me thinking, and this is a good psychology debate...do these two girls, 14 year old twins, really believe the venom they spew? Is it their imbedded nature to be ignorant bigots? Or was it nurture that made them this way? Thier father is a normal guy who is sickened by their messages, their tshirts(one being a smiley face with hitlers haircut and mustache), and their general point of view. But he cant get custody over their nationalist mother(also sickens me). So what do you people here think...is it nature or nurture that made them this way? If their father had been able to bring them up, would they feel this way? Should their father have custody? If he were to get custody and taken out of their mothers sphere of influence, would their views change?
August 23, 200620 yr well i think first off.... hitler did have some good ideas...albeit extremely 'screwed up' but there were reasons for his jewish hate..reasons that we dont really ever get ahold of. does this wash hitler clean of what he did? never. but to negate everything hitler did and view everything he did as bad, is also a gross exaggeration. and ya i saw something on these two yesterday on one of hte morning shows...its interesting and not exactly in a good way. The father needs to get better lawyers on his end and find a way to get the trial moved to some black judge's courtroom and stack the deck in his favor. As far as the mindset...its all a extension of the mother. They even admit it as much. Most children will be extensions of their parents in the long run. Their mother has basically engrained this into their core and its what they believe, much like if any other child would have certain religious viewpoints jammed down their throat. I think they do believe what they sing about, its all they have really ever been taught and what not.
August 23, 200620 yr Author My question is if they were taken away from their mother and their swastica branding grandpa...and put in the real world...would their views change? And Das, I dont care what reasons there are for his Jewish hate. All the hate in the world gives no ground for killing 6 million innocent people. Think of what killing Hitler at the end of world war 1 could(would of) accomplished. No holocaust. No cold war. Delayed development of the nuclear bomb. No downfall of western europe. No world war 2. No neo nazi extremesit hate groups. The world wouldn't of been so weakened, that the spread of communism like a wild fire wouldn't of happened. The USSR wouldn't of had the means nor the opportunity to take advantage like they did. But this is not a discussion about Hitler, this is a discussion about two warped little girls.
August 24, 200620 yr This arguement can be made for everyone. What about all the terrorist who kill themselves? If you make them Christians and move them to some other area of the world, would they be doing the same thing? If we were living in Iran or Syria what would we believe in and how would we act? There is no real answer to these questions.
August 24, 200620 yr See, I thought doing this kind of stuff in Germany was illegal. Like, they're serious about cracking down on this kind of crap? Or are they not in Germany doing this stuff? Personally, I could care less. In any society there's going to be idiots. Better they're able to wear their t-shirts and say the stupid sh*t they say than not.
August 24, 200620 yr Of course it's the parents. I seriously doubt anyone is BORN that way. It comes from your childhood, your parents, your education, experiences, etc. You could certainly have a genetic predisposition to be violent or what have you, but it's how you're raised, the experiences you have as a child, & how you're educated that shapes those kinds of things, IMO. At some point in their lives though, you have a chance to rise above what your parents have taught you. If they're only 14, maybe not quite yet.
August 24, 200620 yr Author They are from California, Buckeye, and spewing their venom at white nationalist gatherings across the country.
August 25, 200620 yr American History X2 anyone? I would agree that they wouldn't be like that if it wasn't for the mother teaching them those things. I doubt you can be genetically predisposed to a certain political philosophy. On the killing Hitler would have stopped WWII scenario, I believe that one of his other lieutenants would have potentially taken his place. Germany was humiliated and demoralized after WWI, and the country was ripe for the kind of radical political ideas that the Nazis came up with. It's also possible that killing Hitler might have allowed the USSR to conquer Europe with its' massive military machine (since every male in the country was forced to fight), which might have led to Communism becoming a bigger problem. Who knows.

Who knows. You gotta love revisionist history that killing Hitler before he took pwoer means that nothing happens that does happen. Look the reason Hitler came to power was because Germany was flat out blamed entirely for the first world war, which was definitely wrong, and its the reason the landscape was so ripe for someone like HItler to rise. When you look at the world of Germany between the two wars you will realize just how bad the situation was there in all ways.
