So I bought a custom 7 game mini-plan because I wanted to go to some Panthers games before I ship to boot camp, so when I called up a few weeks ago to buy the miniplan I didn't want to spend a lot of money so I just got some modest seats about row 25 on the endzones and in the corners. I explained to the guy that I did not want the 13 game miniplan because I am leaving for bootcamp on January 8th and will only be able to go to 7 games, so the Panthers were nice enough to customize an even smaller mini plan for me. My sales rep had to get approval from his boss to sell my the 7 game mini plan at the season ticket prices because currently the shortest miniplan available is 13 games. He explained to his boss that I was leaving for bootcamp in just a few short weeks and it turns out that his boss was a Marine! He got on the phone with me, wished me luck, and said that for the Senators game coming up he'll upgrade my seats for me for free and leave the tickets at will call, well he didn't tell me that they were being upgraded to ROW 1 CENTER ICE RIGHT BEHIND THE PANTHERS PENALTY BOX!!!!!!!!!! I get to will call and pick up my tickets expecting nice seats, but nothing like this! I see row 1 and I see face value of like $244 PER TICKET! Wow.

 

I did bring my camera and took pictures, but before I post them i'd just like to say thanks to the Florida Panthers for this awesome experience.

wow...im jealous...sure, I had free food in a free private suite last night (we probably were able to see each other as I was center ice on the other side), but any TRUE hockey fan would do anything for those seats!

Fun view, I've been up close like that before, and I have to say, I think hockey's better viewed a little further back. Courtside NBA, behind the plate for baseball, great, but hockey I like a little further back.

 

Just me though. Still, looks like it was a fun time.

it's funny you say that. posters on other forums do nothing but bitch about the panthers and how they treat their season ticket holders.

 

i've been a season ticket holder for five years and have had no problems at all though. well, i have the half-season plan and anytime i call my ticket rep to purchase extra tickets, he always gives them to me for free or upgrades my seats like he did for accord. i'm not calling in for any freebies either....but i don't complain

 

maybe all the losing is getting to some of them....noobies :shifty
