Speaking on the Red Sox/Yanks series:

"The team that wins this wins the World Series. We're the two best teams in baseball," he said Tuesday. "No disrespect to the Cubs and the Marlins, but we're the best two teams."

Speaking on the Red Sox/Yanks series:

Heh. We shall see. . .

The two best teams that know how to spend money the best! Idiot, Red Sox can't pitch so I don't know how he could say they are better than either the Cubs or the Marlins.

Just because he said that, no matter what, I'm rooting for the NL team. Go cubs, go marlins!

ya!!!!! well all i know is in 2001 we almsot swept the YANKS, seems as if Jeters Memory dosent recall that, and the only reason we didnt sweep them is cuz we blew the lead in the 8th or 9th!!!

so why doesnt someone tell Jeter to shut his pie hole!

They sure as hell didnt play like the best team plenty of times this year.

GO FISH!

Jeter can go to the zoo and lick a monkey's azz.

keep yapping jeter.

The Cubs scare me more than the Yanks or Red Sox.

just make him eat his words

The two best teams that know how to spend money the best!

Not that this will stop me from rooting for you guys against the Cubs and then either Boston or NY, I just thought you should know how much the odds are statcked against you:

"The record is clear. From 1995 through 2001, a total of 224 MLB postseason games were played. Only five were won by clubs whose payrolls were in the lower half of the industry. None advanced past the Division Series, and no team, other than those whose payrolls are in the top fourth of payroll, has won a World Series game during this period. The seven-year postseason record is 219-5 (a .978 winning percentage) in favor of the high payroll teams." --Bud Selig, April 2002.

Since the All-Star Break:

Yankees 44-25

Marlins 42-25

Cubs 41-27

Red Sox 40-29

Since June 1st:

Yankees 69-38

Marlins 65-40

Red Sox 64-44

Cubs 58-50

I think it's pretty clear we fit right in with those 2 AL teams.

You know I love Jeter and the Yankees because they are my second favorite team....but Derrek: :fyou

If we win atleast 1 of the Next 2 games, I say the fish will win the series..

If the lose the next 2, well we still have a chance :)

Yankees = overrated

Jeter = overrated

Jeter needs to shut his little mouth because he has no idea of the capabilities of this florida marlins team but he will find out SOON when we kick their a** in the W.S.

oh wait....they wont be there

Boston Will

Jeter needs to shut his preppy azz up before he gets jumped,by manny and his gang. :shifty

i disagree with the Yanks=overrated and Jeter=overrated

i disagree with the Yanks=overrated and Jeter=overrated

Yanks are good Jeter is good

...both get more exposure than they really should

there are plenty of good teams...i.e. the marlins that dont get an eighth of the exposure the yankees get.

Jeter is a big puss, who else would get carted off the field because of a seperated shoulder? Your legs don't work?

Jeter is the most overrated player in the MLB. There is no way he is the best SS in the league like some try to claim, he isn't even the best SS in his division for God's sake.

Plays by Yankees SS actually go up when he's out of the game.

Manny? Manny wants to be his f***ing teammate

Jeter wins, he might not be the greatest player out there but he wins
