December 30, 200619 yr Haha, interesting experience tonight. Decided to go to the game, got there and expected to scalp tickets as usual. However, I wasn't expecting tens of thousands of Canadians to show up trying to do the same thing, so standing room tickets were going for $50+. So gave up at 7:40 and left. At least the Panthers won in front of all those Canadians. :notworthy

It was ridiculous, I was absolutly in shock to see it that bad at a Panther game. 10 minutes after the game started there were still thousands outside. I guess the Canadiens are good this year and they're all down for winter and decided to go.
December 30, 200619 yr I was at the game tonight, it was so much fun but kind of sad for me because it's my last Panthers game that i'll be going to before I leave . The hit on Gelinas in the 3rd period was pure INSANITY. I was in the 10th row and it happened literally right in front of my, it was so crazy I can't believe he was able to even get up. I don't know if it was the section I parked in or what, but ALL the cars in the parking lot in the area I parked had Quebec license plates... must have been one long ass road trip. There was also this Habs fan with a huge Habs flag sitting right in front me me for the beginning of the first period, he was so annoying and didn't stop waving his stupid flag. Then Peltonen gets the early goal and this 5 year old Panthers fan sitting in the row in front of the Habs flag guy turns around and the 5 year old kid goes "WHAT NOW!!!!!! WHAT NOW!!!!!!!!!" it was the funniest thing ever. Then all the Panthers fans in the section started ragging on him and he got up and didn't come back, then we saw him like 5 sections over in the 2nd period. It was great.

Sounds like a jolly good time. I'm buying my tickets early next time. People seriously need to learn BAC is our house. Stupid Canadians and their Kraft dinner.
December 30, 200619 yr Read: todays Sun Sentinel... there is no home ice, home field...especially in Florida, especially in winter, especially vs a Canadian or NE team... it's the home of whoever'll pay the $$
December 30, 200619 yr Read: todays Sun Sentinel... there is no home ice, home field...especially in Florida, especially in winter, especially vs a Canadian or NE team... it's the home of whoever'll pay the $$ I can't imagine being a pro athlete in South Florida when a bandwagon team like the Habs, Red Sox, etc. comes to town. It must suck hearing your own fans at home rooting against you. Even as a Panthers fan hearing all those Habs fans, it sucked and I couldn't help but think "this isn't going to help us resign anyone in free agency..."
December 31, 200619 yr I watched it on RDS from north of Montreal. Interesting to watch and listen in French but it was an exciting game. Lots of odd man breaks and breakaways and great stops.

December 31, 200619 yr I wasn't in Montreal for long (I was about an hour north) but it is amazing up in that area of Quebec. I absolutely loved it and cannot wait to go again in the summer.
