Marlins 2007 TV Info Thread

Hello all,

Let me post a basic summary first:

FSN Florida - 105 games (many in HD)

Sun Sports - 45 games (HD status TBD)

FOX - may air several Saturday games

ESPN - may select some Sunday Night, Monday Night, Wednesday Night, and Day games

The FOX and ESPN schedules are done and should be announced soon along with the FSN Florida/Sun Sports schedule. More to come.

I expect FOX to take as many as 6 Saturday Marlins games. They will air 26 weeks of Sturday Baseball this season and even relatively obscure teams like the Rockies for example have 3 or more picks in 2007 for games.

ESPN should be more open to the Marlins in 2007 as the team's schedule is friendly to ESPN telecast windows.

Games FOX has scheduled:

Saturday, September 8, 2007

Florida at Philadelphia 3:55 PM FOX

Do you know if all the cable networks are showing all the FSN games?

Last year, Atlantic Broadband only carried about half of the FSN games...it sucked.

No word yet as all FSN is saying is that it is too early and it seems no one has a deal for the extra 55 games yet. I would expect Comcast, DirecTV, Dish Network, and other providers to carry the channel now that they have had a full year's notice.

That seems to be a lot more games on SUN than normal. Stinks because of no HD. Still nice to see almost every game is televised.

45 is what it was in 2006. Sun Sports HD exists and is used for the HEAT, Magic, and Lightning....so the Marlins may see some Sun Sports HD love too.

  • 2 weeks later...

Who cares, outside of S Fl they can't be seen anyway

Sure they can. Bright House Networks in Central Florida is the only major cable company that doesn't carry FSN Florida in the state. I get games on Comcast in Tallahassee.

I would expect the FSN Florida/Sun Sports Marlins TV schedule to come out in the coming weeks.

Yet, in Citrus County, Bright House Networks does carry FSN. I can't understand why they don't carry it in Central Florida.

The only teams I can't see on FSN or SUN in my area are The Panthers, and the Heat.

DirecTV and Dish Network both carry FSN Florida/Sun Sports and will carry the games to anyone in the State of Florida or the Mobile, Alabama area.

Bright House in Citrus County is Bright House Networks Tampa Bay and they carry FSN due to the Devil Rays, Bright House Networks Central Florida is the one in conflict.
