April 3, 200719 yr Yeah, I never understood why he was a projected top 10 pick after his sophomore year. Horford on the other hand should be a beast as should Brewer.
April 3, 200719 yr Well, he did have a great NCAA tournament last year. I could see him being a decent player on a team like the Suns that gets most of their points on the fast break. Other than that, he's garbage offensively.
April 3, 200719 yr If I were advising the four juniors, I'd tell Noah and Green to come back, Horford to go pro and Brewer to think long and hard about it. I pretty much agree with that, but I think Brewer should definatly go pro due to his financial situation. However, all four of them are either going pro or staying in college. I doubt they'd make different decisions from what they've said.
April 3, 200719 yr what the hell does the ghetto have to with noah acting the way he does or talking the way he does, when he talks like that its a shout out to the hip hop culture, im glad he acts like the way he is....... thats why i and everyone i kno like him, as for the draft if he goes hell prob be 1st rounder if not then defnetley a 2nd rounder...... he really should come back, but i guess that all depends on Billy commin back... I think Billy takes some timeoff and then takes the heat job after the heat win the championship.......

However, all four of them are either going pro or staying in college. That's pretty much all there is. :mischief Yeah, probably said crappily, but what I mean is that all four of them are taking the same path. I am sick of the Gators...just thought all you Gators fans should know that. You know mabdul, you ruined my day. I was so ecstatic that we repeated as national champions, but you just had to go and admit that you were unhappy with the Gators. Now, I'm sad.
April 3, 200719 yr Sorry, man...I just had to get that off my chest. It helps to talk. Just watch one of those Joaquim Noah videos and you'll feel better instantly.
April 3, 200719 yr A shout out to the hip hop culture.. lmao. He should have done it in french.. that would have been even harder.
April 3, 200719 yr when he talks like that its a shout out to the hip hop culture It was a shout out to the hip-hop culture? Well in that case......!
April 3, 200719 yr ODEN!!! What a MONSTER! Ohio State is going to be nasty in the next couple of years if they can keep their young players around. Conley is awesome as well. Ohio State has nothing to hang their heads about, although I'm sure they will be talking about this basketball and football season 50 years from now with disgust regarding the Florida Gators. Buckeye fans will be rooting against Florida in everything for eternity now. Florida was the best team all season, and when they were focused and at full-strength they were unbeatable. Noah can be an idiot on the mic. But he's got two titles. I'm fine with it. His stock definitely plummeted this season, another season would help him, but I wouldn't blame him if he left. He'll just be a "high-energy" guy in the NBA off the bench.
April 3, 200719 yr I can see why people dislike Noah. But they would take him on their favorite college team in a heartbeat. They would be liars if they said otherwise. He's a pretty outlandish character sometimes and says some ridiculous things. At least he's having fun out there, I guess. By the way, three major sport titles in a one year span? That's ABSURD
April 3, 200719 yr Sorry, man...I just had to get that off my chest. It helps to talk. Just watch one of those Joaquim Noah videos and you'll feel better instantly. April 3, 200719 yr I dont know about my Tar Heel counterparts, but I hate JJ Redick because he bitched on SportsCenter about being treated badly and read his lame ass poetry. That and because Mike Patrick and Dick Vitale refused to get off his nuts for his entire career. His skin color really doesnt come in to play, at least for me. My hate for Duke is color blind. I agree with you on Noah. Theres nothing wrong with showing emotion or being happy, but he should act like hes been there before. I wouldnt say I hate him for it, because he seems to be a good guy and hate is too strong a word in this case, but I am annoyed by him.

I'm not going to get in to a long discussion about Redick, its not worth my time. So this will be basically all I say on it. That said, lets be real, you don't like him because he had a certain 4 letters on his jersey. I have zero problem with that and I expect you not to like him, I welcome it, its part of the rivalry. As far as the Sportscenter piece, I never understood why that was such a big deal. Its not like he paid for time to issue a public service announcement and complain. ESPN asked the questions, he responded. The kid, before that piece ever aired, was berated from the stands more then I've ever seen (F*ck you JJ chants in Maryland his sophomore year, people with signs that said they were dreaming of his mother, people saying they were going to f*** his then under 16 year old sister, etc) because of....he was white (whatever you think of this, and even if you don't think about it subtley it is there that because he is white he gets more hate, a black player would never ever recieved the treatment he did for simply being a great college player a black player with Redick's career would have been 'a bad ass'. Its reverse racism, it is everywhere), played for a successful program, and was good. As for Vitale and Patrick, they pimp any player/team of the game they are calling. Duke gets a percieved biased because nearly every game of theirs is on TV. I wonder why commentators would sing his praises - he was only a two time national player of the year and the ACC's all-time leading scorer.

I wonder why commentators would sing his praises - he was only a two time national player of the year and the ACC's all-time leading scorer. Im not gonna say I hated him more because of the last 4 letters in his last name, but it made making fun of him and taunting him at games easier for everyone he played against. The SportsCenter piece...Im not gonna say Duke or JJ bought time on the network to create sympothy for him or anything like that, because to believe that would be moronic, but reading his poetry and the whole piece just made him look lame. As for Mike P and Dick V, maybe its just perceived bias towards JJ because he played for Duke and everyone thinks everything is biased towards Duke (something even I'm really sick of). But it just seems to me that they overdid their love for JJ because of the bad treatment he got, like they had to make up for it by showering him with endless praise. Announcers should be unbiased and actually cover the game at hand. Mike and Dick dont do either.
April 3, 200719 yr Im not gonna say I hated him more because of the last 4 letters in his last name, but it made making fun of him and taunting him at games easier for everyone he played against. D-U-K-E. 4 letters on his jersey. :thumbup

April 3, 200719 yr just to clarify why Noah is projected top 10; he does everything else well. I'm not a Gators fan, and I think he'll be a decent role player for any team (Suns would be ideal, but I think McRoberts of Duke i the perfect fit for them)
April 4, 200719 yr just to clarify why Noah is projected top 10; he does everything else well. I'm not a Gators fan, and I think he'll be a decent role player for any team (Suns would be ideal, but I think McRoberts of Duke i the perfect fit for them) Noah: Better version of Anderson Varejao, possibly Ben Wallace. His motor is what makes him effective, but he turns it off sometimes. I think he will be a great sparkplug player. He can never be the focus of the offense. Would fit in will with a team that already has the scorers but needs a hustle starter the way Ben Wallace was in Detroit. Top 10 pick because the hype is still there. Noah is also a perfect fit for Seattle if you ask me. If they resign Lewis, then Noah would fit well with all of those scorers. Brewer: Reminds me of Ron Artest without the insanity. Good on the ball defender who can hit shots when you need him to. Top 15 pick. Horford: Agreed that he is the best of the bunch. Top 5 pick.
April 4, 200719 yr Hopefully they'll all be top 10 picks. I'll probably follow the NBA next season just to watch these guy's careers. It has been an honor to watch them this year. Looking back, I probably took for granted the fact that this semester I pretty much was able to go see one of the greatest college basketball teams in history play together after I got out of Differential Equations on many days. I had fun, but never realized how previliged I was to see them on a regular basis for a few months.
