October 15, 200322 yr the marlins are turning heads .. on the espn poll about potential WS matchups about 40% of the fans voted on a matchup involving the marlins also i've talked to many people who are just getting experience what we've had all year ... a very fun ball club one guy i work with is pulling for the cubs but can't stop praising the marlins .. he is caught up in the false nostalgia of the cubbies ... but i dont' think he'd cry if the marlins win people are starting to take note ... and if they make the WS many will be pulling for them

With everyone nationally so sick of the Yankees the Fish story would be pounded into the national consciousness until every single person not in NYC (or Boca, the 6th borough) would be rooting for the Fish. Wait a minute...Am I rooting for the Yankees??? Strange what tricks the postseason can play on the mind.

The Cards are hated by most teams in the NL Central including the Astros, Cubs, and Reds. The Astros and Cubs don't have any bad blood that I know of. In fact, Mark Prior even publicly stated that he wanted the Astros to beat the Cards brains in even though it could have cost the Cubs a chance at the playoffs. Cards fans and White Sox fans have a common enemy in the Cubs, but I'm not sure that any other teams fans sees it the same way.
