Hollyberry
MIAMI -- Marlins first baseman Aaron Boone exited Sunday's game with discomfort in his left knee. The 34-year-old is listed as day-to-day. Boone tweaked his knee in the fourth inning against the Twins. On Jason Bartlett's RBI single to center, Boone sprinted to the pitcher's mound to get in cutoff position. He seemed to pull up while running to the mound to cut off Brett Carroll's throw from center. Assistant trainer Mike Kozak and manager Fredi Gonzalez quickly tended to Boone, who limped off the field. In 2004, Boone missed the entire season because of surgery to the same knee. The Marlins are platooning Boone and Mike Jacobs at first base. Jacobs came off the disabled list after Friday's game. He had been out with a fractured right thumb. Boone is batting .286 and he's been valuable filling in at first and third base. http://florida.marlins.mlb.com/news/articl...sp&c_id=fla I wonder what the Marlins will do if somehow Booney has to go on the DL. Mauer7
Wood can play some 1B, so he can spell Jake against a lefty. Hope Booney's okay.

If Boone goes on the DL, why wouldn't he be an option (unless Wood would take Boone's spot)
Backin2008
Why not give Jacobs a chance to play full time?
costabear
I'd love to give Pascucci a shot if Boone goes on the DL...does he play anything else besides 1st?
Ramp
I'd love to give Pascucci a shot if Boone goes on the DL...does he play anything else besides 1st? he's been mostly 1b, but has seen a game in LFÂ a few years ago in Montreal, he played 1b,lf,rf but I think his body has matured a little more and he is mostly a 1b now

CYmarlins
Boone says he feels good, so i guess we still gotta wait and see.
Sirspud
Pascuzzi is hitting way too well in AAA not to get a chance to hit in the majors. It's not like we have any other position players deserving.
Marlin Nation
Why not give Jacobs a chance to play full time? I'm with you, I'd like for him to get more AB's and really see what kind of hitter he is.
Hammerhead
Ramp or anyone else, do you have his numbers from his last trip to the majors? I believe it was with the Expos.
