July 9, 200718 yr Thought we would like a thread on the events, I know there was already topic about the field but here we go National League Matt Holliday 15 Hrs Ryan Howard 21 Hrs Prince Fielder 29 Hrs Albert Pujols 14Hrs American League Alex Rios 15Hrs Justin Morneau 23Hrs Vladdy Guerrero 14 Hrs Magglio Ordonez 13Hrs
July 9, 200718 yr Author Just for fun I did this on mlb.com but heres my finish 8th: Alex Rios 7th: Maggs 6th: Morneau 5th: Holliday 4th: Vladdy 3rd: Fielder 2nd: Pujols 1st: Howard
July 9, 200718 yr I want Kenny Mayne to catch a ball and I would like to see a right hander go gunning for that glove in LF which I believe is 504 feet away
July 9, 200718 yr According to Google Earth: That is the sh*t. Everone loves the lefties because of the Cove, but the power alley is 420 feet with a huge wall. If you don't pull it, it's hard to get it out. At 504, the glove is reachable. I'd love to see someone hit it in there. The favorites have to be Howard and the Prince, but beward of Pujols.
July 9, 200718 yr Yeah, I'm going for the Prince a little bit too. I like his swing and he is going to be one to smoke some bombs.

I love that u added the marina. thats awesome thou, should be some parking lot shots tonight as well i bet that they put the "hit this spot" thing in that glove howard hit it last year on the last pitch which was just the most amazing thing in HR Derby History

July 9, 200718 yr http://cincinnati.reds.mlb.com/mlb/events/...07/hr_derby.jsp MLB.com has some pretty kick ass features including a tour of the Cove.
July 9, 200718 yr It seems to me that the amount of HRs over 500 has gone down dramatically. Hopefully the balls are wound extra tight for tonight. :thumbup I'll be rooting for Valddy and that violent swing. A righty needs to go into the Cove, which I believe hasn't happened in the park's history. BTW the other side is known as McCovey Point.
July 9, 200718 yr McCovey makes the homerun derby much more awesomerer. Oh, and Go Morneau (omg Kanadiens are hawt!)
July 9, 200718 yr aka I've been there done that and probably better than anyone else. He's like what Jordan was to the Slam Dunk contest.
July 9, 200718 yr AT&T Park is the most beautiful stadium there is and with kickass San Fran weather, it has got to be a great place to watch a ball game. I want the prince to win this thang.
July 9, 200718 yr Rooting for Rios and Fielder. Rios really doesn't have a HR hitting swing though. We'll see what happens.
