For the last two days in my apartment my internet has been very sporadic.....It says

"Local Area Connection -- A network cable has been unplugged"

What does that mean and what do i have to do to fix it? Is it a comcast problem?

It keeps going on and off.

What is in-between your computer and the Comcast Cable Modem? (Wireless Router? Ethernet Hub? Nothing, just a direct connection from PC to Modem?)

What model of modem is it?

What type of computer is it?

Remember, it's Comcastic!

Based on this info,

Power cycle the modem.

(unplug power for 30 seconds, plug back in)

Try what Fox said.

If that doesn't help, try to use a different ethernet cable.

Good luck!

But it's just randomly happened....it was working perfectly for so long....I wonder what's wrong other then Comcast potentially sucking.

I've had this problem before as well, it was a connection problem with the line and eventually we had to have a tech come out.

I wish I could recall exactly what it was, but it had something to do with a "disturbance" on the line. Sometimes weather played a factor depending on if it was raining or lightning out.

Really annoying.

Is that between 2PM EDT and 2PM PDT? So that would be 2-5 PM Eastern right...
