July 19, 200718 yr today on evan's show on espn radio 760 (4-7 pm), he described dontrelle as a bad pitcher that is getting worse each start. he said that his first two months were worse than the past two months, and it's partly due to bad run support. he also described passion for dontrelle being way down from 2005, when he said he wouldn't win 20, and nobody wants to see his games. evan went as far as saying the marlins are irrevelant here in south florida and he would talk more yankees, mets and red sox on the show. he also quoted tommy hutton, saying he is more of a #2 or #3 guy. also, evan wants oliver perez rather than dontrelle now, as opposed to a while back where he would take dontrelle to be a met. thought i would post this here as evan is a local talk show guy.

July 20, 200718 yr Only thing that is semi-valid is that the Marlins are precariously close to being irrelevant in their own market. Even a year ago, the thought of Dontrelle being traded would be met with outrage, now, barely a whimper. The Marlins exist, basically, on the incumbent support and favoritism for baseball, but the gap between them as the 3rd most notable team and the Panthers at 4 is closer than it's ever been.

Evan is pretty irrelevant also and if he wants to be a mini Sid Rosenberg-fine-I won't listen to him just like I don't listen to Sid. Can't wait for Joe Rose to move to 560 so I can listen to sports in the morning again. No personal dislike for Bo and the other guy-they just really bore me.

I agree....I won't even turn on Sid Rosenberg @ 790 The Ticket. He hates or makes fun of any and all South Fla sports teams, just loves anything from New York.
July 21, 200718 yr I agree Sid talks way too much NY stuff ( and I come from NY) but 560 is all dolphins/canes all the time and I find that incredibly boring.....I want to hear baseball stuff in the summer and 560 pretty much ignores the fish unless a caller brings them up....they need to fix that.....and least Boog and Sid talk baseball......... and the Panthers, who gives a crap they suck because their owner is worse than Loria (but not by much!!!)

July 22, 200718 yr I've never heard of Evan Cohen. Sid bothers me not so much because of the New York stuff but because the biggest brown-noser I've ever heard in my life. Any guest that comes on, he's basically like "you are the greatest person alive" and I can't deal with it. He's also loves to drop names. He's way too proud that he's "friends" with a lot of celebs. After a while, I'm just like, give me a break.

It's palm beaches gameday for f**ks sake!!! he actually said on monday while talking about scott olsen pulled over at 3:30 in the morning, that there isn't much marlin talk expect for the one segment and when bad things happen (miguel's weight, dontrelle's pitching, olsen's troubles), and then he goes on and talks about the muts.
