Eight Marlins radio broadcasts move to 940 AM WINZ

Featured Replies

WQAM is dumping the Fish after this season is over, so moving the Marlins when they conflict with the Dolphins & Canes was expected.

The surprise is that they have arranged for 940 to carry the games. Could this be a test run for 2008? Hmmmmm....

I thought 790 The Ticket had the Dolphins.

Oh, I hadn't heard that they lost them.

Dolphins moved back to WQAM after their 2 season deal with 790 The Ticket ended. WQAM took the Fins deal, but had to dump the Marlins and Panthers to air Dolphins All Access: http://capefish.blogspot.com/search/label/WQAM

The Panthers have moved to 790 The Ticket. The Marlins are just getting the process for 2008 underway in terms of selecting a flagship with 790 The Ticket and 940 WINZ as the favorites right now.

610 WIOD, sister of 940 WINZ, is the flagship of the Miami HEAT.

UPDATE: Note, I will be running a poll on the Marlins Ballpark News to rate what y'all think about 940's performance in delivering to you your Marlins Baseball game.

790 is still in talks with the Marlins and are activly persuing the team. Remember barring playoff runs by either team, the seasons only overlap for one week in April.

I would love for it to be on 790, for the fact that I wouldn't need to add another preset to my radio. Hell, I wouldn't have to ever change the station!

So, would it be 940 and 760 for Marlin's Radio games next year? Even though 760 is really ESPN.

No, nobody knows that yet.

If 940 gets it in Miami, don't expect 760 to get it in Palm Beach....expect more like 1230 or 94.3 in Palm Beach.
