August 6, 200719 yr Yes most of us hate the Mets but Glavine is a good guy. Good luck tonight Tommy. :thumbup Oh and Castillo is batting 2nd tonight
August 6, 200719 yr Joe Morgan on Castillo: He's been playing his whole career in the American League, if he were playing more games in the NL, and in this park (Wrigley) he'd know about the wind. Uuuuhhh, Joe, guess who hit the Bartman ball. What a f***ing moron.
August 6, 200719 yr honestly, f***ing idiots.. as if they don't have any knowledge of the game, don't they have media guides? i'm sure the average baseball fan knows that he was with us.
August 6, 200719 yr Yeah, that's the worst part. You can have insight and have people disagree with it, whatever, that's fine. But a lot of these guys are so wrong on things that morons with a media guide can get right that it's amazing.
August 6, 200719 yr Author So sad that people like Joe Morgan and Joe Buck are some of the "baseball voices" of this generation. Joe Morgan should get fined by ESPN for gross negligence on a national telecast for that Castillo remark.

Someone in the truck obviously caught it because Miller was quick to point out Castillo's 10 years with the Marlins. In the next half inning. :confused
August 6, 200719 yr Author Wow Kerry Wood lost a lot of weight. Dude looks like he has been kickin it Slim Fast style.
August 6, 200719 yr funny I thought the same thing but I think it was the camera lens, or maybe he stopped the steroids???? congrats to Glavine, a true professional and a class act......... prbably the last to 300, with pitch counts and 5 man rotations, sad to say but this is probably the end.....

Not saying it's impossible, but he's not going to be real pretty once he hits 40. To put it in perspective won 99 games from 2000-06, and he won 117 total games as a Red Sock, when he was unquestionably the best pitcher in baseball. I just can't see it.

No way. Hes definitely the last for awhile (well, unless Randy Johnson rebounds) but to say nobody will ever do it again is ridiculous.
August 6, 200719 yr Congrats tommy, what a game tonight. All around game especially at the plate. And his wife... good lord she can get it.
August 6, 200719 yr 300 wins is really an amazing feat. Go take a look at baseball-reference.com and tell me who you think has a chance. Some of the best pitchers in baseball right now [Johan - I'm looking in your direction] have basically no shot...
