I don't care how young and inexperienced Buchholz is, you put the better arm on the roster. If he is the stud it looks like he is, he will be FINE! And please dear God no one say "omg omg but look what happened to Rick Ankiel!" His long term future is as a starter. Only way I think it'd be a slam dunk for Buchholz to make it is if his spot comes at the expense of Matsuzaka's rotation turn. IMO, no need for the Red Sox to risk injury to Buchholz in the New England fall having him on an unusual warm-up/cool-down schedule. If he's in the rotation, that's a different story. September 19, 200719 yr I think what he's saying is if it turns out Dice K is injured or having trouble with his mechanics and the Bosox feel the need to send him down, who is the obvious choice to fill that roster spot if this is all coming down in October? I think Swift is right, the Red Sox would almost certainly HAVE to fill that spot with Bucholz.

Slam dunk to be on the roster is if Daisuke isn't considered "able" to perform in the post-season rotation along with Beckett, Schilling and Wakefield. As I reasoned, he only has a place on the roster if he's in the rotation. I'd assume he'd get the first call to the rotation if Daisuke doesn't go.

September 21, 200719 yr I didnt know where to post this but is anyone else been noticing a lot of Yankee jersey's coming out of the woodwork? Im taking a night class and I saw 4 dudes with Yankee jersey's on. I havent seen a Yankee jersey in a month. So I got talking to one guy who had one on (he sits right next to me). He asks me who I root for and I say, "Marlins". He goes, "Marlins?? They suck!". I said, "No sh*t detective, but I don't only root for them when they are in the NLCS". He looked at me like a I had 5 eyeballs. Typical Yankee fan.
