October 12, 200718 yr This deserves its own thread. What a fantastic game by Vokoun, Murphy, Olli, and Stumpy! Shutout! 3-0!
October 12, 200718 yr Yeah, it was a great win. Makes me feel better about the asskicking that was handed to us at the home opener.
October 12, 200718 yr It's about time this team got going, and it really doesn't get much better than tonight's game. 3-0 win with Tomas Vokoun finally stepping up and shutting out the Devils. This team is now looking like the team that is supposed to make the playoffs this year. Now it's time to beat the Lightning on Saturday and stop Chris Gratton.
October 12, 200718 yr Awww, I posted a tread simulitanously as this was being made, seems like I'm not the only one who thinks the win deserves its own thread. A mod can delete it but whatever, I'm frickin ecstatic about this win. Getting the first win really makes getting the next 50 easy. :mischief
October 12, 200718 yr Is it me or does this team deseve to be 4-0 and not 1-3? They are playing really great. They have outshot all their opponents, too bad they aren't going in (today was different).

They have outshot all their opponents, too bad they aren't going in (today was different). More like 2-2. They played great yesterday but the Lightning player a little better. And they just got outplayed by the Devils in the 2nd and 3rd periods of the home opener.
October 12, 200718 yr Finally is right! Vokuon with the shutout is great to see. Good to get a win and hopefully they start producing some wins.
October 12, 200718 yr I've been telling people that all this team needed was to get their first win and they should start rolling. The first three games they were getting opportunities but not scoring and in return began pressing. That led to bad decisions and goals against. Hopefully, last night is a relief and they can string together some wins. Very encouraged by the goaltending the past two games.
