Any news of Owens pitching next year is very good news.

And deffinatly great to hear that about Anibal.

It's obvious we need starting pitch help over than bullpen help. I believe our bullpen is pretty set even without Owens. I think it's more important to get Anibal back first. Of course I wish Owens a speedy recovery, but SP takes precedence right now. Hopefully whenever they come back, they come back healthy and effective.

I certainly agree with what you're saying

But I feel our bullpen depth is nothing but a lot of "average" as it stands right now. And while they certainly isn't a bad thing (Any franchise would kill for a lot of average bullpen depth), we also, as we stand right now, don't have that guy who we can hand a ball to and say "OK, we know we can get through this inning without any problem what so ever".

Owens can become that guy IMO and athough SP takes a huge precedence, I can't wait until he's back. Kensing could also become that guy...and if those two can, man, our bullpen will be great.

This is true about depth especially since we let Zarate, and I believe, Garcia get away. I think our current bullpen is solid assuming they perform similar to last year overall. But the depth has been thinning a little lately. If things go according to plan, Owens will be a great addition close to the trading deadline, adding that extra arm. And hopefully Kensing and Martinez can contribute like we all think they can.

Kensing & K-Mart will take a spot of Owens @ 2008.

Hopefully, Anibal get back to healty attitude.

We still need him until Volstad' fulltime debut. :D

And I thought last years bullpen, even Mando for a while, was as good as it has been since 03. The old arms we tried from 04 on were a disaster. The pen has a year of experience, Logan is back, Ricky looks good, Lindstrom, tattoo boy etc. I have no real issues with the pen. If the Ani Bull can make it back, what a plus.
