The only place I voted Democrat was all the Dems except Hillary against Romney. Don't like Romney at all, he is my least fav. Republican. Would still vote for him against Country destroying Hillary though.

Where does the animosity for Hilary come from? Is it her politics?

 

I mean, I don't like her mostly because she seems like a terrible person. But do people actually think she's going to ruin the country? Is she going to be worse than Harding, or Andrew Johnson, or Jimmy Carter? They didn't ruin the country, I highly doubt she or any of the candidates will.

Sorry I'm late. Where is Ron Paul up there? The guy will probably end the year as the top GOP fundraiser of the 4th Quarter, I would hope that counts for something more than Huckabees popularity among a few of Bush's 30%. And as much as Bill Richardson is probably my favorite on the left, if he is up there...well...you know.

 

I second your view on Hillary though. I don't like her and would never vote her, but that is just because I can't even think of a policy I agree with her on - she is too socialist. But even with that said, I laugh everytime I hear Republican propagandists say how "this country can't endure another Clinton Presidency". As if to say that so many horrible things happened when Clinton was president when the truth is that there is far more discontent among average Americans. Even my mother, who is one of those old Cuban hard-core Republicans says that this war was a stupid mistake.

 

I didn't vote in the poll, and mainly because I would never vote for ANY of those people. Well, maybe I would vote for Richardson if he ran against Giuliani, but I would need to be a little more familiar than I am with him.

For me it's 50/50. First - I'm embarrassed as a New Yorker to know that she was able to "establish residency" and win a Senate seat from my state. Second - she has never done anything for the state of NY that hasn't had her own personal self interests at heart. It's almost like she is thumbing her nose at our country and saying "nah nah nah nah nah - I'm a Senator from NY and on my way to the White House on name recognition aloo-one.?

 

Politically, I agree with her on basically nothing but abortion. Personally, I met her when she took a tour of our research facility. I shook her hand and ? swear to you ? it was cold and dry and her eyes didn?t look human. I don?t know how to describe it, but she didn?t look or feel human. Conversely, when I shook George Pataki?s hand [warm and super soft ? like shaking hands with a giant baby ? disconcerting] and looked into his eyes, I could see some humanity and sincerity even if it was all a sham.

 

I also keep going back to a discussion we had around a campfire a couple of years after she first won her seat and one of my friends was like ?Hillary is going to be President.? I asked him why he felt that way and what she had done and he couldn?t point to a single thing. Now, this was following 9/11 so I decided to look it up thinking I would find something there. Bitch didn?t do a GD thing besides pass some legislation about labels on tomato soup cans. SWEAR TO GOD.

 

It sickened me.

With Hilary, besides me not agreeing with nearly any of her fiscal or national defense positions, it boils down to potentially 28 years of the country being run by two families.

I'm not sure it's that drastic, at least not for the vocal people, but there's definitely a slant.

Obama is not ready to run a country. The man simply is still too young and naive to run the U.S. in such a critical time. I do like his "real" approach, but it has shown his inexperience in some cases. He just simply needs more time and would be much better suited for the next election.

 

Hillary is a mess. How anyone could possibly even consider voting for her is beyond me. I mean, will someone, please ask her a question and expose her BS to everyone who actually believes it.

 

The way I see it, the Clinton's will have their die-hard hip cool-aid drinkers to rely on, and that may be enough to get the Democratic nomination. But Obama taking the opposite strategy of Hillary by not being a two-faced smarmy politician will help him.

 

I just can't see Hillary winning the Presidency. She just simply has too much "baggage", mysteries, secrets, and unanswered questions that will be exposed by Republicans. I believe Hillary is the only Democratic candidate that, in a general election, a fair percentage of Democrats would not vote for.

Pretty weak case there which reaks of a GOP talking point. By that logic JFK should not have run because he was far too young and spoke far too much of optimism. Same thing for Clinton, not enough grit and real world views to win. Dubya? Please, the dude was not doing a great job in Texas, was still young and only a few years removed from buisness failures and of course had no foreign policy experience.

 

Hell, Reagan by your logic should never have been president because being the head of SAG would not qualify him to be Governor and then ultimately President.

 

Nixon, and Bush I were two of the most experienced presidents we had in the modern era. How'd that turn out captain?

I would argue that LBJ did more than Kennedy and that Bush Sr. is totally underrated as a President but your point is valid. Besdies, like it or not, this is a popularity contest as much as it is about issues. The Governator and Hillary are two prime examples. If Cal Ripken had run in Maryland after he retired, he'd be Governor of MD to this day.

When we had that long running poll about Bush vs. Kerry, with Bush actually winning. So as it stands now, the poll would indicate that people who voted Bush in 04 would be willing to vote Obama in 08 over people like Romney
