Beckett edges out Penny. Penny won both of his games, but Beckett pitched even better than he did. It's not his fault the team couldn't get him runs in his loss. (Although you could argue Penny on that point because he made SURE his team won his 2nd start by driving in 2 runs himself!)

I would've liked to have seen Co-MVPs Beckett and Penny, like they did with Johnson & Schilling.

Penny won both of his games . . .

He really stepped up!

We couldn't have won it without him!

Sea Bass. His homer kept Rivera out of the game and gave us the win and his slide gave us the winning run.

I have to give it to Beckett for obvious reason, but sea bass gets a VERY CLOSE 2nd for the HR that saved the series in game 4 and the clutch 2 out double that started the big 3 run inning early in game 5 that kept the yankees from gaining any confidence. Also, Penny gets a very close 3rd, and the only reason he is only 3rd is because he only lasted 5 1/3 in game 1, but his 2 wins were half of what the marlins needed.

To be different, I say Pavano.

Without his heroic game 4 effort, we would have went into Yankee stadium down a game.
