Marvin Harrison Being Investigated in Shooting

I'll take it straight from the source and leave all commentary out until more facts emerge (even sarcastic commentary about Goodell's "fair and effective discipline"). Tonight, ESPN is interviewing the Philadelphia reporter who broke the story. He will supposedly allege witnessess exist who will name Harrison as the shooter.

ESPN and WIP radio host Anthony Gargano are reporting that detectives are investigating a shooting potentially involving Marvin Harrison. They are investigating whether Harrison was the shooter.

Harrison owns a tavern called "Playmakers" in Philadelphia. Gargano claims Harrison and a bar patron got into an altercation there. As the fight ensued, gunfire was exchanged outside with the victim reportedly shot in the hand. Harrison, who owns 25 guns, reportedly acknowledged owning the type of gun that was used in the shooting. Harrison has met with detectives multiple times, and after initially denying the gun was in the area, now admits it's his gun, but says he wasn't the shooter. Gargano is the sole source here, but this sure looks ugly. No witnesses have come forward saying Harrison was the shooter, although Gargano claims they are coming. Harrison would still be at risk of arrest even if he wasn't the shooter. No charges have been filed.

woah crazy story. i hope it not true. he a good guy.

He's not if he shot someone who was running away.

But, that's alleged. The victim himself says that Harrison was NOT the shooter.

I didn't see the ESPN thing - did the victim say Harrison wasn't the shooter, or was the victim just unable to identify the shooter? The media reports I've seen assert the latter.

What I heard on ESPN is that the victim said he was not the shooter.

25 guns is a little much.

Some people DO collect guns. Others just collect baseball cards :mischief

My front door neighbor has a huge collection. Everything from pistols to combat shotguns. He also does competitive shooting for gun manufacturers.
