May 14, 200818 yr I had a bad feeling about this whole series really. 1st game - Badenhop against Harang who's been quite good, 2nd game - facing Volquez who's been dynamite, 3rd game - iffy Nolasco vs Arroyo who was dominant last outing. plus no Jake or Hammer. not exactly ideal. Hopefully we can snag the 3rd game today.

May 14, 200818 yr Yeah.......some of you guys are starting to sound like Mets fans. There are no "gimme" games out there. The Reds have a VERY good line up and in a few years they could be dominating the NL Central if ole Dusty doesn't kill their pitching staff. Record is not a good indication of what a team is capable of, its a reflection of how they have played to that point. Remember when the Dodgers swept the Fish? Yeah, we didn't really know it then, but the Dodgers were about to get on a really hot streak then. The pitching staff has been fine. If the starters give up 3-4 runs a game and go around 6 innings they did their job. The offense came back down to earth slightly but its absurd to think what this team did without Willingham and Jacobs.
