July 5, 200818 yr I cant imagine the team moral is very high right now, I know they've been heartbreakers to me.... Today looked like it was going to be the perfect cure, and then bam! Add another to the Loss column.... How badly do we NEED a win Sunday OOOPPS EDIT SATURDAY....i mean sunday works as welll too much 4th of July celebration.
July 5, 200818 yr we really need to have a strong run until the all-star game or else i dont see any way this team becomes "buyers" philly are gradually getting further ahead whereas we are inching back towards .500
July 5, 200818 yr scoring 17 and losing is tough on any team. Has that even happened in the history of MLB?? score 17 and lose?
July 5, 200818 yr scoring 17 and losing is tough on any team. Has that even happened in the history of MLB?? score 17 and lose? I saw a list on espn.com, there have been 5 or 6 other teams to score 17 and lose, with about half of them coming in extra innings. The most runs scored in a a game the Cubs beat the Phillies 26-23 in 1922
July 5, 200818 yr What else can we do now except make fun of them, call for the firing of the manager, and move on to the next game?
July 5, 200818 yr It's like, how much more can the offense give you, pitchers??? I still have a sour taste in my mouth from it. It was all leading up to Gregg blowing it again. You just knew it. The offense did everything it could. Hell, Jake even had four hits that weren't long balls. Hell, Treanor hit a three-run shot. Fredi needs to yell at the bullpen. But he won't, because that's what winning managers do.
July 5, 200818 yr Maybe a little negativity will be reverse psychology-but I feel a 4 game sweep now- and I am sick, like all of us. My daughter couldn't sleep after last nights game-and she is an adult. Maybe there is a lawsuit here for unusual pain and suffering.
