Raul Ibanez = Fail

.306 Batting Average, 23 Home Runs, 102 RBI's.

Yes, definite fail.

If we could it would be great but 1 where would we put him

2 how would we pay him

3 how is he availible

1. Trade Hermida, and put him in RF. He normally plays LF, but can play either one just as good.

2. He's only making $5.5 million this year, which isn't that much. So, if we sign him after this season, it would probably be even less since he is aging.

3. He becomes a FA after this season.

5.5 mil is too much already nd i doubt hed want a pay cut

o and our of is gonna have hermida in it next year without a doubt so the onl chance is heaving ibanez play LF which he wont becuase Cody or Maybin will be there

If we sign Ibanez to a 3 or 4 year contract, then I doubt he will get paid over $4 million per year.

Also, how do you know for a fact Hermida will be on this team next year? The Marlins were extremely close to trading him for Manny.

cuz his contract isnt up and if he has a good year next year his trade value goes up so we could trade him for some prospects

and Ibanez is so less likely even with 4 mil

We really dont need an OF just a backup Middle IF and a Catcher

Why would Sanchez be batting second?

Where would the Marlins get the money to resign Uggla?

If the Marlins were to sign Aurillia, wouldn't he be starting?

Who would be the last player in the bullpen?

We really dont need an OF just a backup Middle IF and a Catcher

Hasn't everyone been saying that for a few years now?

Also, Ibanez would put up better numbers than any current Marlins outfielder, and he would be pretty cheap. That would be a great pickup.

it would but we wont let go of COdy or Hermida so either Cody and Hermies dont play which is less likely

or Maybin Gets hurt or he dosent get the call

pick your posion

I mean id love to have him but hes really not the piece of the puzzle we need unless he would share time on the bench which is less likeley

As I said though, the outfield could look like this:

LF- Raynor

CF- Maybin

RF- Ibanez

Backups- Ross, Amezaga

Hermida = Traded.

no way we have cody on the bench if hes on the team

it would look more like this

VS RHP

LF Ibanez

CF Ross

RF Hermida

VS LHP

Maybin

Cody

Ibanez

That the best way

I was just talking in general, but if you're talking about pitching matchups, then it could be like this.

VS RHP

LF- Raynor

CF- Maybin/Ross

RF- Ibanez/Ross

VS LHP

LF- Raynor/Ross

CF- Maybin/Ross

RF- Ibanez

Ross would be a backup, but he would still get a lot of playing time.

Ross wont back up in his last year of his contract to 2 rookies if anything Raynor backs up

So, you're saying that the better player should be benched just because he's a rookie? Should Hanley have been benched in his rookie season?

omg

no 1 Hanley had no 1 close to competing with him at SS other than Fredo but he was a backup OF back then

and Cody and Hermida can do good when there on

we dont kno anything that maybin and raynor can do against MLB Pitching

I guess we'll just have to wait a few weeks then... :mischief

Again with everyone thinking we can call up EVERYONE in AA and suddenly become a playoff team, keep some of this team together, they do not play fundemental baseball, but it does work. Add that speed and defense sparsally.

LF: Ross

CF: Maybin

RF: Hermida (although i hope Ross plays RF and Raynor starts in LF)

that is how i SEE it going down, i could give a whole different lineup of what i would want to happen

more lie a few Months because the 1 month they will get will prove nothing

i wanna see them next year to see if there up to the hype well at least if Raynor is

So...you want it to be:

I want it to be:

LF- Raynor

CF- Maybin

RF- Ibanez

My lineup is the same thing as your's, except Ibanez is much older than Ross and adds "veteran experience", yet you are saying, "Again with everyone thinking we can call up EVERYONE in AA and suddenly become a playoff team."

:confused

moreas with u wanting Coughlen, Sanchez, McPherson, etc... being called up in the infield, no need for a total makeover
