Yeah...problem, fairweather fan?

I don't see why you post, period. Do you ever have anything positive to post about the team? Do you ever add anything to a thread?

It's funny how we see you a lot more after a loss, instead of after a win. It's almost as if you root against the team.

Stop treating people's posts as if they're idiotic. The only thing idiotic is your continuous sarcasm.

It seems as soon as someone offers honest and fair criticism, you begin to shout fairweather fan or troll.

Member:Goddamn Olsen's bad pitching tonight.

Erick replys:Your a freakin Fairweather fan!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!! you not a real fan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really? You got a link to that? I'm just realistic. We are 53-49 with 2 GB and 60 to go.

You know what I recall? You earlier on this year on gamethreads calling this team a fluke after every loss. Notice how I'm not bashing anyone but you.

Why? B/c you add nothing.

You're not offering honest criticism...you're being an idiot. And for what it's worth, I didn't see DolphinCrazie's post; that's why this one's here.

a true marlins fan are behind the team in the good and bad times.

Being critical of the team when they aren't playing well doesn't bring your loyalty in question. Being realistic about this team's overall play doesn't mean your not behind the team anymore, it just means your evaluating things.

a true marlins fan are behind the team in the good and bad times.

Criticizing them doesn't mean you aren't rooting for them. Someone who gets upset when the team loses isn't a fairweather fan. A fairweather fan is one who only shows up as a fan when the team does well.

Ay, it's all good. We got this. Fish got this. Marlins FTW

We just gotta take the shots and keep moving forward. Obviously there are things going wrong, but that didn't stop us in '97 or in '03...

I understand that. I wasn't directing it at you :thumbup . It was just a statement that is true. i don't enjoy losing either. I get pissed and curse a bit but i get over it because tomorrow is a brand new ballgame. I have faith in this team and whomever the organization brings in this week

May I say something...

Well, while I agree this is a misuse of the phrase "fairweather fan", I still think too many people I hear are knee-jerky. Being realistic and basing your opinion on a single week where we played terribly isn't the same thing.

It's not fairweather fan...more like fairweather comments.

Opinions on this team change daily.

One day it's "Marlins, Surprise of '08!," ... the next it's "Downward Spiral! Fluke!"

Pick one. And for the record, if you're gonna call this team a fluke, and say it's over, don't criticize the people on ESPN, for example, who say the same things. You'd be just another one of them.

Is it destiny, or just a weird coincidence?

How many times in the past month has this been brought up. Whoop dee doo, what is its meaning?

The bottom line is that the 2003 team went 38-22 the rest of the way. Does the current team have the ability to do that? Who knows.

But why assume that we can't? I mean, we've followed their path so far.

For someone who doesn't like stats, you've certainly been using them tonight.

Btw, that stat is irrelevant. The past has no impact on the future.

That's something you don't seem to be grasping. Stats don't tell us what will happen in the future. They are just an indication of what's been done well / bad in the past.

Also, not only is it a different year, but it is a completely different roster.

I love all the wonderful colors who supported "Admin" and gave money to this wonderful site.

:p

I've got it for the next 2 years.

They might. They might not.

Again, it's irrelevant.
