How about looking at the positives?

Everytime Uggla gets up there hes 0-2. Then they hit him with a fastball (which he used to serve up) and he stirkes out. Hes just cold right now and there is noo need for him to be up so high in the line-up. Put him 6th, Cody should be over him right now. Fredi needs to tweak the line-up when players go cold.

Also, if Hermeida is batting 2nd for the rest of the year, we wont make it far. Hes streaky, game to game.

Almost no manager will take out a hitter for struggling, even that badly, for 2 weeks.

That said, Cody Ross is flirting with the Mendoza Line since the break. A better guy would be....ehh....Mike Jacobs...

Have to disagree here, he is easily our best option to hit 2nd.

Hermida's problem looks to be a lot like Kotsay's unfortunately... they both seem to lack big league power, and so while they were projected as star outfielders, now they'll have to hit above .300 to come anywhere near those projections. I hope Jeremy develops more power than Mark did though, there is still time.

Still, its kind of disappointing that he looks to be on a similar career path to this point... I remember thinking the same things about Kotsay his first few years with us, and he never panned out. They even have similar swings and batting styles (both guys like to stand off the plate and have trouble with the outside pitch).

Hermida batting stance change since last year. He look like a pitcher holding that bat. He project to be that average MLB hitter that I thought he would be since 2006 when I laugh at people crazy prediction on Hermida.

If they dont make a move its because the FO believes our team is just ice cold.

If they make a move, start worrying, it means that our offense is coming back to earth.

That made no sense.

Gonna agree with Erick on this one.

The FO is busy trying to find us a catcher that is at least half decent. It's the price that apparently has them being quiet. And I don't blame them. They have players in mind they won't mind trading and players that are off limits because of our future use. You don't sell the future for a rental player.

When you turn on EPSN and watch the highlights. More often than not, you see people hitting RBI singles by reaching out and pushing the ball the other way.

The Marlins feel they need to pull everything and it results in unimaginable K's. Pitchers have a gameplan against us. They do their thing, until they allow a couple hits. When runners are in scoring position, they pitch away, we try to pull it. DP or K. Its like watching the last 30 minutes of Titanic, over and over and over again on TBS. It never ends well.

Our players aren't cold per say, they just have been having DUMB plate appearances. As for Uggla. He will be a 6th hitter for the rest of his career because of his streakyness. When he gets hot, go ahead and move him to 5th. But its still nice to have a guy like Uggla who can get hot and carry a team.

EXACTLY! This is spot-on. We're not being pessimistic, the truth is, we just have a bunch of undisciplined hitters that are coming back down to earth. The reason great pitching always beats great hitting is because the pitcher can always dictate how an at-bat will go. Our problem is, our hitters NEVER adjust their approach, so its like constantly starting every AB at 0-2.

The last couple of nights it wa starting to look like a lightbulb went off in their heads. But then they resort to the same-o same-o. The reason we can't hi that soft toss stuff is because they swing too freely. Once they learn to stay back on those pitches and drive them to the opposite fields...look out. These guys are still in a learning process.

the only way we contend and win the division if Hanley gets hot i mean real hot and for willingham to hit the way he has hit in this series, So This is all about hanley and Josh I believe! GET HOT BOYS, THE WEATHER is, so can you's lol GO FISH!!

yeah the problem is that no one other than Cantu seems too hot at the moment. Usually there was someone who stepped up and was hot, whether it was Uggla or Ross.
