  1. F*ck this guy. I never did like him, all he ever does is throw fastballs even though he has a pretty good slider. And his fastball doesn't even have good movement.
  2. Don't be like this and group all fans of one team together, guys. We all despise it when everyone lumps together Marlins fans as crappy fans who don't go to games, are bandwagon fans, etc. And we hate it. As a youngster, I choose to root for all the teams my father did. He lived in New York from age 10 (1967) until 1990. He was a Mets, Jets, Rangers, and Knicks fan. I was born in 1997 an we moved to Florida in 1990. The Marlins were brand new in 1993. The heat were only a few years old, and the Panthers debuted a couple of years after we arrived. We had nothing against those teams
  3. The NFL draft is the most overrated, drawn-out exaggerated event in all of sports. That said, I'm a huge Dolphins fan, **** THE JETS, far as I'm concerned the Jets are worse than the Phillies, Mets and Braves combined, and Jets fans are the scum of the earth, especially the ones that live in South FL. Sorry if I offended anyone
  4. The funny thing about the futuristic ones is, they got the right idea, but wrong logo. Rather than a huge team logo, it would be a huge ad (like Pepsi or something), with Florida Marlins in fine print underneath.
  5. I hate to say I saw this coming, but... I saw this coming. All last season, as much as I was enjoying what Ricky was doing, it felt like a Carl Pavano type year. It wasn't that he had this amazing stuff... his control was just incredible. And when a pitcher with OK stuff gets incredible control, it can usually lead to a career year. Thats not to say he can't get it back... but its a lot easier for JJ, due to his superior stuff. I didn't think Ricky would stumble this badly at the start, but I did see him coming back down to earth this season. Hopefully he'll put it together soon.
  6. Rich and Tommy are OK, I'd give them an 8 or 9 out of 10 for Marlins fans watching, and a 6 or 7 for outside fans (they are fairly knowledgeable, but definitely homers). Best team by far we ever had was when Dave O'Brien and Joe Angel switched off the play-by-play, with Tommy doing the color. That was an easy 10 out of 10. The Jay Randolph and Gary Carter duo kinda sucked.... and Len Kasper was also very good, a notch above Rich, but I'd still take Dave O'Brien over him and probably Joe Angel as well.
  7. I can't stand Jemele Hill, she's a huge Detroit homer who has no idea what she's talking about half the time.
  8. I actually think we can stretch this into a 10+ game winning streak. I mean if you think about it, we really haven't played that well the past weekend, we won 3 games we really had no business winning. If the starting pitching gets back on track and Hanley plays like we know he can... :thumbup
  9. I see a good number in Tally too. I usually sport my pink Marlins hat :thumbup I HAVE A PINK ONE TOO!!!! =) haha... I'm in Tally and I've actually asked a lot of people if they are big fans or not when I see them wearing one.... most say yes. :wee , go fishies. I guess I havent ran into you yet because nobody has ever asked me if I am a Marlins fan. Well, my friends think I have issues (I do and I will admit it) Haha! Well, I work at the smoothie place on campus (Energy zone) at the union on mondays, wednesdays and fridays, and when people come in sporting a hat that ISN'T the marlins.
  10. I have an old black one that I wear all the time, and an NLCS champion hat from 1997 (my dad screwed up, just picked the first hat he saw that said champion on it) that I hardly ever break out. Its white.

Well, my friends think I have issues (I do and I will admit it) Hey being a Marlins fan is NOT an issue! haha And I mostly ask this because I go to TCC, and lets just say some of the more ghetto people who go there, who most likely have

  13. Serious question here, are Marlins caps considered hip or cool? Because I see a lot of people in Tallahassee, many of whom I'm pretty sure aren't very big Marlins fans, wearing Marlins caps.
  14. Those aren't even power rankings. Its like they pretended the first 2 weeks of the baseball season haven't even happened yet. If you're not going to rank teams based on performance on the field, whats the point?
  15. An Amazing game by JJ. I can say fairly confidently that Nolasco has the best "stuff" in our pitching staff but Honestly I would say that JJ is the best pitcher on our staff. The fact that that we could make a great argument about who is better is a great thing for all of us. Now lets continue on getting series victories against our division rivals. Actually I think Johnson has the better stuff. Nolasco's fastball is around 93-95 when he's going good... Johnson's is 95-97. And both have good curveballs, I think Ricky is better at throwing his for strikes, but still... I've always felt Jo
