how can someone, who has seen all the crazy twists and turns this season say it is over. especially considering we get a direct way to dip in to that mets lead.

By watching how this team has played and watching how the other teams in the race have played.

yes judging one team playing the cards and cubs, and another playing the astros pirates and nationals is a very good way of judging competition

You did see us lose against the Giants, right?

Also, do you realize the Astros, who you obviously think suck, have basically the same record as us?

duca could be a hugepick up for this team. just what the doctor ordered. a contact guy who makes pitchers work.

way to make johnson work lo duca. great job.

LOL dude it's my opinion, and like Erick said, I'm not the only one with it.

6 games is not some little bump, it's basically an entire week.

And truthfully I could care less if you think I'm a die hard fan or not. I never claimed to be one so believe what you want to.

Funny how you left out the Giants, however. And the team didn't even face Lincecum...complain about the schedule all you want, but the same schedule you're complaining about right now, was the same one the Mets had to deal with in the 1st half.

At the end of the day (err...year) each team plays every team, at least, twice, in their own league.

If you're gonna complain about the schedule, might as well not believe. To be the best...you also have to beat the best...and the worst. The Mets are only doing what they're supposed to do;...what the Marlins did not do in SF.

the marlins have been hovering around 5-8 games over for basically the entire season while the stros have been pretty bad the entire season

You do know that we play the Nats, Pirates, and Astros the same number of times that the Mets do.

ok, but do the marlins play the nationals and pirates 8 times in a row in the middle of a race deep into august? its a little different. they both play the same teams but when you play them consecutively and in august you can only expect them to go ahead a bit more.

We are 2 games over. They are 1 game over.

We are 15-18 since the break. They are 20-13 since the break.

Now tell me that we have played better than the Stros.

Ever consider that playing the Nats and the Pirates so many times at the beginning of the season gave us a head start?

you do realize that without this little funk that weve been in lately, we were 5-8 games over the entire year. while the astros have been under 500 the entire year.

and stop bringing up since the damn break. it really doesnt matter sicne the break, we play an entire year.

Hello!?! Remember April? Part of the reason why we started 30-20 was b/c of a weak schedule.

We are 2 games over. They are 1 game over.

We are 15-18 since the break. They are 20-13 since the break.

Now tell me that we have played better than the Stros.

but we havent played like sh*t the whole year just since the break

We are 2 games over. They are 1 game over.

We are 15-18 since the break. They are 20-13 since the break.

The Marlins were better the fist half. The Astros have been better the second half. Put those together and it evens out.

Whats so hard about that?
