In the event of Ike...

Does the Washington series get moved to DC? Do they play out the Philly series? Discuss.

I don't understand why you are questioning the Philly series. Even Hanna should be out of that area by Monday.

Ike will have come and gone by next weekend and it dosen't look like it is going to hit us anyway. The only real problem would be if it hit Dade and Broward hard and they get put on some type of curfew similar to what PBC was put on after Francis, Jeanne, and Wilma.

Relax. Not gonna happen.

Now it looks like probably even south of that. Maybe brush them. Cuba, then into the Gulf.

Has been a busy season so far tho. And a good one for us. Plenty of rain. Lake O is better than it has been in years.

But they've already begun to lower the water level of Lake O. They even stated that one of the reasons for the drought was that they made mistakes in previous years, and lowered the water level anticipating that storms would hit, then they didn't, so the lake stayed without water.

Yea. I know. Head scratcher, ain't it?? LOL I don't know the process or how long all that takes, but you would think they could open those locks and let water out while a storm is here or at least when they actually know a storm will be here.

I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist, but... PBC went on water restrictions of being able to water our lawns twice a week. Then it was changed to once a week. Then the water district raised our rates because they said they weren't making enough $$$ because we weren't using as much water. When it passed, they immediately let us go back to twice a week watering.

I'm not saying there wasn't a drought because there definetely was. Rivers feeding the lake were at all time low levels., etc... BUT... You don't have to be the type that looks over your shoulder every time you take a step to see that something just isn't right somewhere in management.

Oh well. Ike missed us. The games will be played here. End of story. And my little rant.
