i go to a few games, the main reason i dont go to more is money, especially the parking. when i go to a game by myself my mom or dad drop me off but thats during the weekend, during the week i cant ask them to drop me off right after work and than pick me up at 10 or 10:30. i dont feel right about it.

you could use a daily park and ride program then, one possible person already if it were to happen. you live near any of these?

-Golden Glades.

-Dadeland North Metrorail station. SW 83 Street and US 1.

-Tamiami Park Metrobus terminal (SW 117 Avenue/SW 24 Street by batting cages). Free parking.

-Miami Beach. Municipal Parking Lot at 41st Street. Metered parking.

It would be easy for you to walk to the bus stop and go then if you were nearby and had the money.

Other: I am a yankees fan :mischief

I have been to 3 yankees games at home, one red sox vs yankees at fenway, and a baltimore vs royals game at baltimore.

Well, I just moved to Boca in mid-September, but I went to more games following the move than before because of the pennant race. I just take my parents season tickets so games are free, except for parking and that $9 busts my a** and keeps me from a few games every year.

Can't season tix holders buy season parking passes?

I live out of the Metro area... about 1700 miles from the Metro area :mischief .

Though I did get the chance to go to Game 3 of the World Series!

Can't season tix holders buy season parking passes?

Yes, but my parents don't. Unfortunately it's not up to me. They go to about 20-30 games and give the rest to me and friends of theirs. To them it's not worth buying parking passes for the whole season when they aren't using but 1/4-1/3 of the tickets. :p

What if you do go?

what stops you from going when you don't go? i go to almost every game i can, but if there are nights when i have no one to go with, im fine just watching it on tv

and to the games i cant.... im out of range(Bloomington Indiana)

you do know that you can park in the bcc south regional library lot and ride a bus to the game? many people simply took a bus down there, but you don't live in pembroke pines.

Many of my friends used to use their student bus passes and take the 7 down pines to the 2 on university and go right up to PPS and to the game. just park, walk to the 2's bus stop and ride. used to cost .50, but with the politicians down there i don't know how much it would cost now.

Traffic and parking are a nightmare... By the time you are home and go to bed is already time to get up again!

I work and is impossible for me to sneak out to during the day/ week games

:mischief2 You could be another possible park and ride candidate.

That's literally at the end of their block. I might have to look into that for next season. Thanks! :)

your welcome. parking costs and traffic problems cause people to go through those measures, but it means more games, more money for the marlins and less for wayne.

I answered RAIN but its really WEATHER. If you have kids its a tossup which is worse, sitting there soaked after a rain delay or watching your kid(s) wilt under the hot, burning, South Florida sun for three plus hours.

:mischief2 You could be another possible park and ride candidate. Don't worry. I am already making my 2004 season ticket campaign to my husband. I will check that park and ride thing; sounds good. This campaigning thing is hard work, but at least I have to my favor that he has been a Marlin fan since the birth of the franchise.

nightgames, it is all the rage.

I would have to say mostly the weather. Whether it be the rain or the sun. How many times does it look like it going to rain in Florida? Almost everyday lol. And on Sunday when I have an opportunity to go the sun is blazing at 1pm I wish they would change the time to a 4pm start. Money is a factor too but not as much as weather.

I have no ride. Nobody wanted to go with me. I don't care about going by myself, but I don't know how to get to the PPS by myself. But now I do (thanks Mom) and I started driving the expressway now so expect me to go more often.
