I would have to say mostly the weather. Whether it be the rain or the sun. How many times does it look like it going to rain in Florida? Almost everyday lol.

I answered RAIN but its really WEATHER. If you have kids its a tossup which is worse, sitting there soaked after a rain delay or watching your kid(s) wilt under the hot, burning, South Florida sun for three plus hours.

weekend games are all daytime. there is talk of moving the sunday games to a later afternoon start which would help.

Saturday games were 6:00 or 7:00 starts. Sunday games were 1:30 starts. In previous seasons Sunday games did start later at 4:30. It didn't help then.

of course it does. i dont wanna pay $20 bucks to get into the stadium and sit there for an hour rain delay gettin my a** soaked. ill pass. And its not like i dont go to game i went to bout 8-10 regular season games and 5 playoff games.

well if u really like baseball-and if u love watching the marlins-than u would still go!-ive gone 2 a bunch of games where it rained-and i stayed-it was still fun-just go do s/t else until they start the game again-who cares if u waste more time there.

wow i didnt think this would bother sum1 so much. lol. Ya 1 ticket for club level is almost the same as 3 tickets in upper deck or outfield. and yes i know it doesnt rain everyday but i said sumtimes i want to go to a game but it looks cloudy so i dont go, i was just answering the poll. :banghead

for us it was very accessible since we would go with friends or my grandfather.

 

It was a weird feeling when people started to come into the stadium. During batting practice we would get all the homerun balls by the fish tank and talk with the players.

 

But hey having more people is better for the team. When we would be in the stadium it felt like it was our house.It still is, but more people living in it =P

there are alot of things 2 do at the game-when u go early or during a rain delay.

ok for u broke ppls. COme in the 4th innning and you dont gotta pay parking. then u just pay 2 bucks to watch a game. not bad eh? and the way marlns play, the first 4 innings dont matter much anyway

The reason I don't go to games is because im 13 and can't drive. Also, my parents' car sucks so I guess that means it can break down at any time. I would go a whole lot more if it was in downtown since all I would have to pay is for the Metro Rail and cheap seats.

I went to like 49 games this year.

Early in the school year when we were losing I didn't go because, well I couldn't and do homework and s***. But once school got out I went to like every game. Of course I was out of town this summer for 6 weeks so I missed on like 16 home games in that time!

If we have another good season next year, I might go to 60 games!

I go, but with a lack of funds(college ) I cannot go as often as I would like. Thats why this offseason, I'm going to save up some cash and possible get a mini flex plan or something for next season.

Other: I live in Tucson, Arizona...however, I DO try to see the Marlins when they come to Bank One Ballpark. This year, I missed them because my car DIED before their trip out here and I had no way to get to Phoenix to see them otherwise. Last year, it was because they were here during the week and because of my work schedule, I wasn't able to make it...the last time I saw the Marlins here was in 2001...next year, I am DETERMINED to be in Phoenix when they come to play the D'Backs again...and I am also DETERMINED to meet Brad Penny and Mike Lowell both (my other favourite, Andy Fox, may not be a Marlin in 2004 since he just filed for free agency :banghead )

I live in SC...but when im in Florida for the summer, I try makin a game or 2. Home in Florida is still 3+ hrs from PPS. I made it to 2 games this summer. 1 the summer before. And maybe 2 the summer before that. 98-2000 are jumbled for me, so I dont really remember what year was what in terms of games I attended.

Well, I go as much as I can.

 

I try not to make money an issue though it is my pocket where the tickets and the parking comes out of.

 

I really most of the time can't go because A) during the week I have school and B) I didn't know anyone up until this summer that was game to go more often than not (and that drove). Until I finally have enough money to buy a car I'm going to have to rely on other people. I know how to get there and all the ins and outs of the place, I just don't plan on walking there anytime soon.

 

Someone mentioned before the going to games by themselves thing. I really don't mind going to games by myself. I find it funner to go by myself then to have to deal with someone that doesn't know what their saying or (the worst of them all) thinks they know everything but are always wrong. There are really only like 4 or 5 people that I know that I can stand being at a game at and that can stand being at a game with me, so it all works out I guess. Plus, if you go by yourself, you can move wherever you want and not have to worry about the other person tagging along.
