December 30, 200817 yr i thought that the marlins were going to sign him and i'm especially surprised since he was affordable with a minor league contract.
December 30, 200817 yr I'm not particularly happy with these developments. Even if they're waiting for Pudge, why would offer an MiLB deal to a guy like Barrett? I really hope a trade with Tex is on the horizon, but I'm getting a bit anxious.
December 30, 200817 yr there are only 3 free agent catchers left that i'd be interested in. varitek (would cost too much), ausmus (hits lefties decently and would be a nice tutor to baker but might retire at the age of 40), and ivan rodriguez (would cost too much and his ego wouldn't let him split time with baker even though he's not as good as he used to be). actually toby hall hits lefties pretty well but only threw out 9 out of 52 runners on steal attempts. hopefully we can still pry max ramirez from the rangers in some way.
