Have any of you heard about this game? I just found out about it. Looks very fun...

MLB? Front Office Manager gives baseball fans the chance to experience their dream job. Take the reins of your favorite Major League? team and build a championship roster. Make trades, sign free agents, draft prospects and manage games all the way from Spring Training through the Playoffs. Available this Winter for Xbox 360, PlayStation?3 computer entertainment system and Games for Windows, MLB? Front Office Manager is the only MLB licensed game to give fans total control of an MLB franchise.

I'll definitely be buying this

Is that not similar to the Franchise mode in The Show?

Looks awesome! Not sure if it'll work though, kinda of reminds me of NFL head coach which sucked major balls! i'll buy it though.. Im a BIG FAN of 2k series

yup.

Looks pretty cool. Sounds exactly like the baseball version of NFL HC.

heard about it, will stay away from it. At best i will rent it, jsut because i doubt they can come up with an actual good FO game. Played NFL Head Coach, luckily it came free with Madden, because it really does suck.

I might buy it.

In the past I have bought the Baseball Mogul series, which is a slightly better than spreadsheet baseball GM manager game.

Sounds like OOTP, which is cool. Probably rent it just to see what's up.

I heard Billy beane's gonna be on the cover. If I can also play the games I might rent it to check it out.

I still think they should just add this as a Game Mode in MLB 2K9 so more people would buy it

I got it but I haven't been able to play it much

When you do let us know!

Just got it. There are only two options, career or fantasy. So I chose career...

The good: In depth (salary arb, rule 5 draft, 40-man rosters, "Japan bidding", etc.), managing the game the way they make it is actually better than i thought it would be, you get better deals by gaining xp, instead of it being the same season after season, games are quick.

The bad: Trade negotiations can be frustrating (unlike 2K9 and other MLB games, once you make a trade, you have to wait two days until they can accept it, but most likely they won't, so you're just wasting time), salary arb gives players way too much money (they gave Uggla $13 million and Gregg over $5 million), menus are annoying.

Overall, it's a pretty good game though. I'd recommend it.

^^

Thank you sir....

I'm not too sure about this game especially that 2K is making. MLB 2K8 was horrible IMO.

Alright so I played it a little bit more last night...

The game is OK. Nothing special, but it's still pretty fun. Obviously could have been a lot better. It's probably the most in-depth, real-life GM sim I have played to date, which can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good because it's what real GM's go through, bad because it takes a lot of time to do and can be a little bit boring. They do use some new-age statistics like VORP, EqA, and OPS+, which is pretty cool. Another thing I like is the rating system. Instead of most games that use the 1-100 scale, this game uses the REAL LIFE scouting scale, which is 20-80. As far as the premise of the game, it is pretty good, but the layout and design is pretty bad/boring. Also, the in-game managing part where you actually watch the game in 3D was really choppy. It's probably better for 360 and PS3, though. The thing I really didn't like is the way they have the minor leaguers. They all look the same, have generic names, and all have those silly blue generic hats that you always see in video games. Oh well...

Overall it's a good, not great game. I'll give it a 6/10

Lol, I was wondering why there weren't any highly rated players...guess I'm too used to all of the other MLB games.

Um ok just saw videos and it dosen't look that great well at least graphic wise.

Hopefully the managing is fun, but do they have actuall rosters in MLB and Minor League Levels?

They seriously should combine this into MLB 2K9 to make it a better game

MLB, yes. I think stat-wise the MiLB rosters are real, except the names are made up.

Wow thats kinda gay im not gonna even bother im just gonna wit for 2k9 hopefullt they fix all the bugs from last year, as they have already changed back the pitching and hitting to a more basic level and its coming out 1 day before the show lmao

What I like pitching and hitting the way it is now in 2k8.

Give me RBI Baseball controls, and I'll be happy.
