The only ones saying he is gone are people who have nothing else to do and think they know everything about baseball. Don't pay attention. My feeling is that he is staying. The Marlins were probably waiting for the city's vote on the stadium issue today before presenting Pudge with a contract offer. I would say expect his contrat extension within the next few days. :thumbup

First of all he belongs in Arlington but things don't work out that way. Baltimore has talent and they draw enough where they can spend and now that I belive they have rid themselves of Albert Belle they are going to be a force in FA.
November 5, 200322 yr I agree with ramp... With Pudge, Baltimore could be the Marlins of the AL east next year they have great speed at the top of their lineup with Mora, Gibbons with power. Good SP with a lot of potential with Pudge in a leadership role on their ballclub helping out the young pitchers and helping the heart of their order, the O's can be a dangerous club

November 5, 200322 yr The Marlins will be his first choice. Some how and some way, the Marlins and Pudge Rodriguez will knock out some sort of deal that will keep him the catcher for several more years. As for Vlad....well we'll see what happens.
November 5, 200322 yr Although I don't know anything more than anyone else (which is absolutely nothing) I can't see Pudge filing for FA as anything but a bad sign. Anyone out there with a reasonable and plausible explaination as to why he is going to stay after he filed please let me in on it. And who started all this talk about Vlad? Since when are the Marlins in the market for a outrageously high-priced premier free agent? They don't have enough money to keep their already modest payroll intact and all of a sudden Vladdy is comin' to town? Puhleaze.
