Any is, by far, a much better fit that what came form the Royals

Nope they had no idea either of those players were released but I am going to email them right now to let them know

jenkins is a joke now. if he couldn't put up good numbers last season hitting in philly then i'm sure his career is on the decline. sheffield would be an awesome pickup but i have a feeling he'll sign with the phillies (they desperately need a righty off the bench) or tampa bay (he could play RF and DH once in a while while playing in his home town). the most realistic pick up would be catalanotto to be our 4th outfielder/1st baseman. although who's going to be our backup middle infielder until amezaga returns from the injury???

Andy Gonzalez can suffice for a week or two.

There's still room on the forty man, even with Gload and Penn, not mention candidates to be removed from the 25 man roster, for this front office to make subsequent moves.

Well with Rabelo outrighted off of the 40 man the roster sets at 36 so there is plenty of room to make moves. I think Calero will be added to the 40 today or tomorrow.
