April 11, 200917 yr I know the worst was the Orioles when Cal Ripkin Sr was manager best may probably be the Yankees team that won 130 games In all fairness to Cal Sr, they only played 6 games when they canned him. They lost another 15 after he left with Frank Robinson managing.

For the longest time actually, 1969-1992. Most say this is because the Cubs refused to go to the NL West.
