I know the worst was the Orioles when Cal Ripkin Sr was manager

I was wondering, do any of you know whats the best perfect start ever to a baseball season without loseing a game?

1982 Braves won their first 19 13 games.

EDIT: Corrected typo. Mental typo.

Wow that's

pretty epic. Thnx for the quick reply btw.

best may probably be the Yankees team that won 130 games

In all fairness to Cal Sr, they only played 6 games when they canned him. They lost another 15 after he left with Frank Robinson managing.

We might have a chance at the record if we had a stronger bp, although we have a favorable schedual...

Favorable schedule?? You do realize we have 2 more games vs the Mets, one of them vs their ace. And then into Atlanta vs a team that ain't exactly chopped liver.

Thats not a bad record to try and get close to! 90+ baby!

That really is sick. 13 games is insane. with great momentum, there's a small chance it could be possible

The Braves played in the west division at one point?

No team has ever come close to winning 130 games in a season...

The record is 116, tied between the 2001 Mariners and the 1906 Cubs

Haha, yes. For the longest time actually, 1969-1992. Most say this is because the Cubs refused to go to the NL West.
