May 13, 200917 yr How did Carroll look in his AB's? 0-2 with 2 K and 1 BB. The BB itself wasn't particularly impressive, he just didn't swing at a single pitch (ball or strike) and Parra had no control. But hey, better than striking out when a guy has no control.

And opinions, of course, cannot be wrong. Thus, you shouldn't have a problem with it...correct? :shifty I don't have a problem with people that have that opinion. I just staunchly disagree that the coach lost those games.

I'd like to see him get at least a couple of more starts before he gets banished to Robert Andino territory.

I'd like to see him get at least a couple of more starts before he gets banished to Robert Andino territory. I don't want Maybin's replacement to not do "any worse". The entire point of sending down Maybin was so that he had one less hole in the lineup while still getting him PT. If we're just going to fill his spot with another hole, what the hell was the point? And get this straight, Andino has been a much better ML hitter than Brett.

He'll play everyday in the Minors and will be able to work things out better than sitting on the bench in the Majors and striking out nearly everytime when he does get to play. I wish the best for Maybin.... we're going to need all the help we can get in the hitting dept. and to have to rely on a rookie (whom I think is very talented and will eventaully pan out as a good player in the majors) to provide consistent offense immediately is unrealistic and unfair, imo...

He should be at the top, with that OBP, to be driven in by Baker, Hanley, and Cantu. That would make him part of the solution, not the problem. Hard to score runs when there is noone on to drive in for the few who have been hitting well. It's shocking that we have our worst OBP guy, and a couple times with Maybin our two worst OBP guys, at the top of the lineup. We have a couple guys who have been able to "produce runs". Why the hell are guys who are never on base the guys hitting in front of them?

It could be said about both, with the position they are putting Chris in. both really, but Cog is getting his chance now and Mayb will get another chance later this season. I didn't compare them because they are two completely different players. Only thing they have in common at this point is that they are both young with great upside
